Just heard the news that John Hartson has been diagnosed with testicular and brain cancer.....

Bad enough being told you've got testicular cancer. to then be told its spread to the brain, ffs, must have felt like a real death sentance.

Testicular cancer which has spread to his brain. (don't get this confused with Brain cancer) It's got one of the highest survival rates. Lance Armstrong and PHer Swerni spring to mind.

Having said that, chemo isn't exactly a barrel of laughs.

Anyway, good luck John, from another survivor!

Ive just heard from an old friend back in Swansea that John has passed away?? I am trying to check the details asap..........


I can't get confirmation of this yet, so i am not really sure either way???

I hated John Hartson when he was at Celtic. He reeked havoc against Rangers!
I warmed to him very much as a pundit - a no nonsense type and clearly smarter than his onfield persona indicated.
