Wenger said it was a disgraceful tackle iirc, along with various other things implying that Shawcross did it on purpose, when Ramsay was just as much involved/to blame.

Try watching it again on youtube with your Arsenal rose tinted spectacles removed and you'll see, as everyone else with more than one brain cell (who isn't Arseface Wenger) that it was a 50/50 challenge which 99% of the time would result in no injury.

I do agree with you on the point that Ramsay has obviously come out of this the worse off, hope he recovers quickly and gets his career back on track.
Lol coco.

To be honest I should just give this defence of Wenger up, seeing as your "Arseface Wenger" comment suugests you're not exactly open to a change of opinion, but here it goes...

Wenger didn't imply that Shawcross broke Ramseys leg on purpose. What he did say is that these kind of reckless challenges shouldn't be acceptable. I agree with you, that Shawcross didnt intend to break Ramsey's leg. But his challenge was reckless, and his recklessness is what broke Ramseys leg. Now, if you're going to come back and say that it wasn't reckless, then dont worry about it, cos we will just have to agree to disagree. IMO it was a reckless tackle, swingin his big ol foot about nearly 180 degrees to connect with his leg. I don't see how you can claim it was controlled or measured?

Shawcross should be banned for life. Likewise that c@nt Martin Taylor - football would be a better game without these hatchet men. Thugs masquerading as football players.

I'd say Roy Keane was one of the few exceptions, at least he possessed football talent.

Banned for life, because of one hard tackle that went wrong?

Actually it isnt one off bad tackle. He also broke the anke of Francis Jeffers is a similar tackle and removed Adebayor from the game for nearly a month following a "bad" tackle.

The guy is a dirty player. It would be a different story if it was Ronney that he tackled and broke his leg, but because it's an Arsenal player and not someone that Engerland need this summer he is an angel.

Boohoo poor old Arsenal always being persecuted against.

Is that miserable Frenchman brainwashing you all or is there something in the water around Norf Laaandaaan?

Anyone with half a cog inside their head could see that was a 50/50 challenge, Ramsey was unlucky, with shawcross lucky not to get injured.

If shawcross had been injured Instead would you be bleating on about how much of a dirty player Ramsey is?

That's more to do with the media in England. Rooney stamped on someones bks during a match & got sent off but it was the portuguese "winker" who got all the stick because he dared to appeal to the ref on behalf of his teammate

Franny Jeffers wasnt playing for Arsenal when he had his leg snapped by Shawcross. Remove the emotion, look at the facts. He has caused significantly more damage to his fellow players during his career than the average.

Again, the outcry would be all over the papers if it was Rooney whose leg was broken. You, like most sheep, seem to make stupid comments regarding Arsenal because it is fashionable to do so. Well done.

Irrespective of what he has done before, this incident was just an accident, no intention 50:50 ball etc. If you cannot see that, you are completely blinkered. Not surprising, many football fans are. Only oppo players can make bad tackles etc.

As I asked earlier, if you think Shawcross should be banned then clearly you must also think Fabregas be banned too for his blatantly deliberate hack from behind.

To quote someone from a different forum...

"Never argue with an idiot (or idiots in this case) as they'll drag you down to their level and beat with experience."

Apt I think.

Time to bow out and leave the poor persecuted Arsenal supporters to their moaning.

Baa.
