Pats were simply awesome, completely destroyed the Colts. The ability to continuously adapt and change depending on the opposition underlines the excellence of Belichick. Take out a cog and another one just clicks in. I think the Super Bowl will be a good game but if the Seahawks are as consistently poor as they were for most of the game today they will lose.
Kudos to Bob Kraft, the Super Bowl will be contested between the only two coaches he has ever hired.

Wow...I'm still unsure how the Seahawks won that game.
You just don't turn the ball over 5 times and win games at that level.
Oh and whatever people think of Sherman...what a gutsy performance that was. My view is its ok to talk a good game if you can back it up...well he shuts down half the field and then to play with 1 arm is mightily impressive.
Agree with what others said, GB threw that away by being conservative. The Pats won't be that timid.
Turned off the second game at HT as was looking pretty 1 way traffic.
Should be a good game in a couple of weeks.

Sherman has definitely toned it down a bit this year, there is no question he's the best corner in the league and to play with his arm the way it was is remarkable, same can be said for Earl Thomas' shoulder. The passion Hawks players have for the game is unbelievable.
As a Seahawks fan it was a tough game to watch, I'd accepted we'd lost the game (I was watching it about 15 minutes after live on Sky+) then I got a text from my partners brother just saying 'christ'. I've never smiled so much in my life I don't think!
I called a Seahawks - Patriots SB in September and wasn't wrong, now to go all the way for the second time in 2 years
I also took great pleasure in seeing Erin Rodgers smug face absolutely wiped, god I hate that guy.

Jesus H Tapdancing Christ. How the hell did we lose that? It wasn't just the onside kick, there were so many examples where GB should have put it away.
Far too conservative - the D was brilliant for 3/4 but the O was far too nervous and once Seattle got going everything just fell apart.
Fair play to the Seahawks for keeping going though, and the TD pass to end the game was utterly perfect. Wilson's going to look like this next year:

While I can't help thinking that GB would have been a bit less conservative if Aaron Rodgers had been fully fit - the onside kick wasn't what cost them the game, but failing to convert short-yardage situations did..
I think Seattle deserved the win for that comeback alone - it was a superb game to watch as a neutral.

I really don't see how you can say that, if GB recover the kick off they win the game!In any game you can point to lots of things that could or would have changed the result, this is certainly one of them.

I've read a lot of people saying GB were negative and should have gone for the TD on 4th and goal on those two early drives rather than taking the field goal.
To me, it's all very well to say this with hindsight after the game but, taking points when they are on offer (especially early in a game) is usually the best course of action.
It's perfectly possible they could have gone for the TD on those two occasions, failed to convert and found themselves behind at half time rather than 16-0 up.
The fact is, they blew a 16 point lead in the second half, that was when they lost the game.

Here's some analysis that does a pretty good job going through the decisions. To me, it's all very well to say this with hindsight after the game but, taking points when they are on offer (especially early in a game) is usually the best course of action.

I really don't understand this...it's not like 1 team was playing with different balls, they're all the same for everyone. It's a stupid situation that could be solved if the NFL just supplied the stuff in the first place, and perhaps did some scrutineering before games. it'd save itself an awful lot of ballache, pun intended.
Even if they are both using the same balls, one team knowing they have an advantage and the other being unaware isn't fair, as they aren't knowingly able to capitalize on it.
Not that I think it'll have been any different a result had they known, but it does sour what was a brilliant performance somewhat. Or to summarize, pats in cheating shocker

Exactly - Patriots get a cushy ride every season (due to their joke Divn opposition) and still resort to cheating routinely.

It's all BS. The balls are checked by the officials before the game and officials handle and inspect the ball after every play, just like a cricket umpire gets the ball thrown to him after every over to inspect it for tampering. If there had been a noticeable change it would have been spotted. Pressure changes with temperature in a ball just like in the tyres on your car. This city is rocked by how badly their team were crushed by the opposition they hate the most on Sunday. They just can't believe that there is that much of a gulf between their precious Colts and the Pats and they leap on anything they can to justify what was a thrashing. I'm shocked that the Colts organization should be mixed up in this but looking at the scandal their drug addled owner caused last year it's not surprising that they should try to deflect.
