Pats vs Steelers tonight and then two games on Sunday.

Cannot wait for the new season. Much prefer to watch an NFL game on a sunday then the normal premiership games.

I'm actually in Pittsburgh this week so hopefully, I'll be able to watch the game somewhere suitable drink

I see there's no love for my Texans on here.

Have any of you been watching Hard Knocks on HBO?

I'm predicting good things for them this season with a wild card playoff place biggrin

Yeah I have been watching the series so far, Texans do seem like a good side not sure how that will translate into performances on the field.

JJ Wyatt does seems a top bloke though and model pro. 100% in training, extra sessions and makes sure he says hello to everyone fan that comes and watches.

If only everyone was like that.

Watched "do your job" on NFL Network last night. While the whole world was assuming that the ball would be handed to Marshawn Lynch and the commentators and his own coaches were yelling for him to take a time out Bill Belichick was looking at the Seahawks sideline and their changes to on field personnel. He knew from the actions they took that they were going to pass the ball and he ordered a 3rd corner (Butler) to go out and ran their goal line passing D. Genius. It's why he's the G.O.A.T.

My new 2015 Julian Edelman jersey makes it's debut tonight. shout GO PATS

They should all learn to shut a door behind them though.

Cautiously optimistic about the schizophrenic Bengals this season - good start, by steamrollering Oakland.
Our Tight End, Eifert is back to full fitness and adds another target for Dalton to aim at, given that Green is usually double covered.
Who Dey!

I'm still sad about the loss of Sunday Night Football on C4 frown I Know all the coverage and more is fully across Sky now, but the banter between Nat & Mike was always well worth staying up for through the early hours smile

Even though I have Sky I did record the Channel 4 show as well. Shame its gone. Does the BBC coverage go beyond just the Superbowl?

The Giants threw it away against Dallas on sunday. Should have gone for a run play instead of the pass and tried to eat up more seconds. Fair play to Dallas to go up the other end in under 2mins and score a touchdown to take the win.

Well it was the 'Colin & Carlos Show' for the 49ers. The Vikings looked pretty poor against the SF defence, a much stronger unit than was expected after the loss of some of the old guard.

Cardinals looked good, but they generally do this time of year, fast D, explosive offence, then for some reason it all crumbles, hope they keep the fun up a little longer this time.

If you like Nat and Mike then it's definitely worth checking out the Americarnage podcast they do.

BBC will have a highlights show lead by Vernon Kay on TV from (I think) Week 9.

I think BBC signed the rights to show the UK games live either on BBC2 or via the Red Button stream - hopefully they'll bring in Nat, Mike & Vernon to do the presenting smile

Just started to get into American Football. Never really understood it before, and as a Brit it's all to easy to be a prick about it.

But I watched the Packers vs the Bears on Pick Tv and really enjoyed it. Still don't quite understand all the rules, but I've been reading my way through Wiki on the NFL and American Football in general.

Any tips on watching NFL games in the UK? It was sheer luck I turned the TV over and caught the game from the beginning. Are games often shown on Pick TV?

I got into it about 2 years ago - watching Sunday Night Football on C4 when I couldn't sleep. Colts whupped the Texans. I gradually learnt more and decided to follow the Packers quite randomly. Went well last season, until the NFC Championship game curse

You can learn lots from the NFL mobile app; this has news and live updates on games with highlights afterwards. The Around the NFL Podcast (others are available) is also quite a nice and entertaining way to learn more.

Try this too - lots of info and the COach Stilo part is an entertaining (if out of date) way to learn about the postions.

Sky Sports has some games but I've bought the NFL gamepass which gives me online access to all NFL game sin a season. £130 give syou access to all games in the season and the last few seasons, as well as NFL network shows like Red Zone and Hard Knocks.

It can be a bit odd though, only 1 other person at work cares about NFL and I don't care about normal football so monday morning sports discussions can be a bit stilted.

For the next 2 years all the coverage (Thursday night, Saturday, Sunday & Monday night) is now on Sky Sports, or alternatively available on the NFL Gamepass as mentioned above. C4 used to show the Sunday night game but dropped the rights this year due to the cost involved so it was picked up by Sky.

Fairly certain the game on Pick last week was just a one off promotional showing as a way of Sky saying they had all the coverage and if you like it you'd need a Sky Sports subscription to see the rest.

The only free to air games this year will be the 3 international series (Wembley) games and the Superbowl next year on BBC.

Who Dey? Not the Chargers - Eifert and Fisher - big white dudes (unusual for the Bengals) rockin' it. Don't want to get my hopes up too much, but we look strong.
