So Mike McCarthy has been fired. Meanwhile Marvin Lewis apparently survives again despite the Bengals being embarrassingly poor. I guess it’s all about ambition? Green Bay expect to win and when they don’t they make changes. In Cinci mediocrity is accepted as the norm.
Marvin should have been shown the door 3 seasons ago. Apparently he's tight with the Brown family. His style is proven year in, year out, not to work. Doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result is a sign of insanity. They are a team with talent, but no discipline or vision. Were it not for their sweet stadium deal, which costs the good people of the 'natti punitively, the city would have lost the Bengals franchise (to Las Vegas, I suspect).
Losing at home to Cleveland should have been the final straw. Change (in a fundamental way) is long overdue.
Lots of casualties today. Feel sorry for Bowles and Wilks.
Josh McDaniels can probably write his own ticket if he decides that he wants to go this time.
As a somewhat depressed Packers fan, I would love it if Josh McDaniels comes to Green Bay. The last few games have been absolutely dire and the Packers desperately need a new start. They've taken Rodgers' talent for granted and if he retires with only 1 Superbowl win it'll hugely underplay his potential.
For the last couple of years, I've also been following the Browns, so I've been delighted that they've come so far (finished with a better record than GB FFS). The Cleveland HC job is a great one; the roster is talented and Mayfield is seriously good. Should attract a decent candidate.

Painful end to the season as a Dolphins fan after the victory over the Pats. Gase has gone and Tannenbaum has been reassigned so hopefully we can see some improvements next year. Unfortunately it doesn't look like any QBs are coming through next year and we haven't got the best picks in the draft next year but can't face another year with Tannehill.

Are my predictions for the wildcards.
3 out of 4 ain’t bad.. Chargers

Chargers recent form has been exceptional - but enough to handle an ‘at home’ and rested Pats? It’s possible and the only real room for upset in the divisionals. All the others I’m going with the home teams:
Chiefs
Rams
Chargers
Saints

For me
I think the Chargers will make the superbowl
Phillip Rivers is 0-7 against Brady. Patriots are unbeaten at home this year. It's going to be cold and snowy in Foxborough. Phillip Rivers is a baby.Chiefs
Cowboys
Saints
For me
I think the Chargers will make the superbowl
Any given Sunday of course...…
I hate to say it because I live in Indy and work with lots of Colts fans (and am married to one ) and they love to crow but... The Colts O line is playing very well and Luck is very good when he gets time in the pocket. Hilton and Inman are both playing lights out and Mack is running amok. Mahomes is fantastic but this is play off football. I fancy the Colts for an upset.
Patriots
Colts
Rams
Saints

That's what I'd like, but I think Home Field will rule the day in all 4 games.
Good call.. I watched the whole Saints game last night, on the edge of my seat! Not a great start, and looked like it might be tight in the 4th, but a win’s a win. The Championship games are too tight to call, I’m going with Saints & Pats but could see myself wrong on both!Gassing Station | Sports | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
