For me

I think the Chargers will make the superbowl
Phillip Rivers is 0-7 against Brady. Patriots are unbeaten at home this year. It's going to be cold and snowy in Foxborough. Phillip Rivers is a baby.

Any given Sunday of course...…

I hate to say it because I live in Indy and work with lots of Colts fans (and am married to one hehe) and they love to crow but... The Colts O line is playing very well and Luck is very good when he gets time in the pocket. Hilton and Inman are both playing lights out and Mack is running amok. Mahomes is fantastic but this is play off football. I fancy the Colts for an upset.

Patriots
Colts
Rams
Saints
I got 3 out of 4 and as a Pats fan the Colts pick was more wishful thinking than anything else.biggrin

Sunday should be epic.

Patriots going to 9th Super Bowl this Century. Belichick is a fricking genius.

And he's a real party animal.

In other news I'm in the spare room again, Mrs U (a Colts fan) having thrown the flag for taunting. Again. biggrin

Certainly not the Super Bowl I was hoping for!
Saints threw that away with some poor decision making. Unlucky with the clear pass interference not being called but should’ve done more throughout. From such a strong start to the season, week by week they’ve got tired.
The Rams on the other hand have been superb and deserve their place.
I’d have loved to see the Chiefs make it, but at least the decision of who I’d rather win is easier! laugh

Gutted that Mahomes won't get to complete the fairy-tale but hopefully it'll still be an interesting Superbowl

That was beyond bad luck tbh, that's the sort of clear and obvious error that brings things into disrepute. Saints weren't 'on it' as you say, but they had enough to win.
Hashhtagsourgrapes hehe

ETA - further ramifications on the non-flag (see what I did there...)

I know the title says “no haters” but

I’m watching this pro bowl thing as my son has decided he likes nfl and my god it’s dreadful!

No wonder everyone talks about the superbowl half
Time show because fk all happens either side of it
And the coverage is the definition of amateur

As a sport it’s 90% nothing happening

Sorry.

The Pro Bowl has nothing to do with real football.

A lot of top players find a reason not to turn up for it and those that do will do everything to avoid injury. It’s just a media stunt to fill the week before the SB.

Rather like an American trying to understand cricket, people who are ignorant about the sport may dismiss it like you do. But as you rightly point out, the title says “no haters”. So take your ignorance elsewhere.

It's a bit like watching one of those charity football things and deciding that the quality of champions league football is rubbish.

Yep, the ProBowl is the footy equivalent of a pre-season friendly and nothing compared to a full league game. Never had any interest in it - caught about ten minutes yesterday, in the rain, with bucketloads of empty seats, and decided to bank the telly time for the main show next week.

As for people commenting on the half time show - that's only in the Superbowl and to be honest I'd rather they did away with it and had a normal half time break. I've yet to see a half time show that my interested stayed for more than five minutes.

Springsteen was pretty awesome. And Tom Petty. Oh and Price was great. The Who and The Stones were pretty good too.

There's been some pretty good half time shows. And the big brands run special TV ads (in the most expensive slots of the year) and some of them are pretty cool too.

Only The Who from those you listed would interest me but even then not during the Super Bowl half time. I watch that to see the two best teams in the NFL slug it out in the most important game of the season, not too see the likes of Beyoncé screeching away for half an hour.

If I wanted to see a band I’d see a band, not go to a sporting event to see one. As for advertisers, what’s that got to do with an overly elongated half time interruption?

As much as i dislike the Rams, and as much as i think it criminal that the call wasn’t made it had nothing to do with him.

He made the hit, like he states sometimes you have to make a hit even though you know it’s going to get a flag on the play in order to stop the other outcome (professional fouls are in all sports). It’s down to the officials to make the call and it is them who, imo, are in the wrong for not making the call.

I would also just like to say that these officials do a thankless job and yes they need to do their job, but can anyone say they have spent their time at work without making a mistake? And those making threats need to take a strong look at themselves and work out what is missing in their life to make this so important that they would make such a threat to another person.

Anyway onto the superbowl, can’t cheer on the Rams, really really struggling to cheer on Brady. Heres hoping for a no score draw wink
