Anyone watch the game last night? Must say, ch5 coverage is alot better than Amazons TNF and their stty ads.
The NFL network have done a great job with Kirsten & MJD hosting - decent coverage and banter, especially with the fan involvement on social media and MJD trying to figure out where places are in the UK hehe

I was fudged this morning, but the game was definitely worth it given how it finished.

What was wrong with Osi this weekend? He had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp all throughout the show & didn't smile or laugh once.

I noticed that, too. Strange. Does Jason have too much sequinned limelight, perhaps?

It's not been a great start for the Texans but i'm heading to the Packers game on Sunday, if anything it should be a high scoring game. I feel sorry for Watson, he's got a couple of years before he gets a decent team around him.

And the rest.

O'Brien left an absolute mess, aided and abetted by Jack Easterby & the McNair family owners.

They have no draft picks & are at the top of their salary cap with players who aren't performing.

No option but to start clearing out players like JJ Watt, Whitney Mercilus etc for draft spaces, hope they draft well and that Watson doesn't blow his knee out again in the next 5 years.

BoB did a great job, I mean Hopkins was useless, let's trade him confused. I think JJ will be gone soon, not sure about Mercilus.

Hopefully the McNair's find someone decent this time and that individual doesn't get both the head coach and GM position.

Based on tonight's show i guess the possible explanation is that they knew it was the last show they'd be doing as a group with Chappers and couldn't really talk about it.

It seems like the decision had been made much earlier, but wanted to keep it quiet for a bit as he's scaling some of his presenting duties back to spend more time with his family after the death of his wife earlier in the year.

Dan Walker's taken over from this weekend with Nat Coombs continuing in the backup QB, sorry bad joke getmecoat presenting role.

I'd heard about his wife, but didn't realise he'd decided to step down from the show permanently. That's very sad on all fronts.

That's very sad, he is an excellent presenter & the three of them worked well together.

I watched a recording of last night's show & it struck me that I wasn't really too involved in watching it because I'd seen most of the highlights on the Monday Night Football show on C5. The BBC show is basically covering games a week behind & there's little point in doing that; they would have been better off keeping the mid week show & dropping the Saturday night one.

That's a shame. I hadn't bothered with the NFL for many years after being a big fan back in the 90s. I just happened to catch the NFL show about 3 years ago and found the 3 presenters rapport really entertaining, it helped to rekindle my interest and I've been watching it ever since.
I'd missed the news about his wife, very sad.

It is, by some distance, the best sports programme I've ever seen, making MoTD look really very poor in comparison. Big loss.

So are we not watching any of the shows on the Sky NFL channel? Must say I’d take any of them over Mark Chapman, I can’t abide the bloke.

Don't do Sky, think the chemistry between the 3 was something remarkable.

It’s a great week for me this week, the 49ers didn’t lose!!

Dan Walker has a fair bit of work to do, seemed a bit ‘in the headlights’ but i’m sure he’ll settle in. He already knows Osi so that will help some. I watched the channel 5 catch up show yesterday, now that show is absolutely appalling! The presenters were terrible.

Dan Walker is almost unwatchable on BBC Breakfast News, he seems to think everything is a joke - personally I think he'd be better off on CBBs.

Can't believe nobody has posted since November.

Very enjoyable game between Chiefs and Dolphins earlier. And now watching We'll go anywhere that pays the most host the Colts.

Was interested to see Cam Newton getting a slating by the Sky presenters earlier.

I'm still disappointed in the BBC content this season - dropping the Tuesday highlights show so now the Saturday show is mostly week old footage - they would have been better off keeping the Tuesday date if they only wanted to do a once-a-week show and then repeat it late night Saturday.

(Although I have Sky so watch a bit of Good Morning Football over lunch - on delay so I can fast forward all the ads breaks)

Anyway, looks like the wheels are starting to come off the Steelers run, I can't see them staying ahead of the Chiefs for the single AFC playoff Bye. Rams might be the NFC team to watch in the playoffs.

Ravens / Browns on MNF was a great game to watch. I was bloody knackered today. Got to bed at 5am, 3 hours later i was having to get up and get ready to catch a train. Not sure how i'm still awake tbh - felt like i was back in college in the '90's having spent the night watching ESPN sports on C5 laugh

I watched the MNF game from the 2nd Quarter onwards. I had done my usual trick of set my alarm for the approx start of the 4th quarter (a couple of hours after the kick off) but woke up early...

If you were writing a film script and had the quarterback go off, the replacement get injured and the original QB return from the dressing room to throw for a TD from the 4th down you'd have binned it as being too on the nose.
