Only a few days to go before it all starts up again - time flies. Looks like UK TV coverage is pretty much the same as last year spread over the same broadcasters.
On the non Sky / Amazon side of things C5 are into the second year of their threee year deal to continue with MNF Live and Sunday mini package show NFL End Zone.
BBC have also confirmed the return of their highlights package with Dan, Osi & Jay. Evidently they were delayed announcing it as the tender for the contract was still being negotiated as it was due to expire. The result of the tender was that NorthOne (who previously produced the C4 NFL packages) won the contract, replacing Whisper who had the contract since 2016. It looks as though they aim to return to the pre recorded Saturday night preview / Tuesday night highlights setup (that had to be dropped last year due to Covid restrictions on filming, etc).
As a Giants fan i'm once again hoping for the best, but expecting the worst
Fellow Giants fan here. We have two teams to root for this year - the Giants and whichever team is playing the Bears, as we have their first round pick in the next draft! Fingers crossed Justin Fields is a bit crap...On the non Sky / Amazon side of things C5 are into the second year of their threee year deal to continue with MNF Live and Sunday mini package show NFL End Zone.

I have quite low expectations this year too. Despite all the new signings, the O-line looks like complete dog ste still. What's the point of having a great bunch of receivers when the fumble-machine QB is going to be on his arse most of the time?!? For all the talk of Jones having "all the tools to succeed" I think he's in for a bit of a kicking.

Glad the highlights on BBC are back, really enjoy Osi and Jason.

Ho-hum, at least we have two first round picks next year!
Bucs (returning all 22 starters including Brady, so should be formidable again), Chiefs (subject to key offensive players staying fit) or Bills for the SB. Outside shout for the Browns.
I've got a bit of a soft spot for the Bills having hung out with a bunch of their completely mental fans before a Titans game I went to in Nashville, so would like them to win it.

Looking forwards to the season!
Has anyone found a half-decent American football podcast or youtube channel? I don't have enough time to watch more than one game a week so love to catch up with a roundup.
I've tried a few of the highly rated ones on iTunes, but they are all...moronic.

To be fair I just watch the NFL highlights on you tube, each game in 15 minutes.Has anyone found a half-decent American football podcast or youtube channel? I don't have enough time to watch more than one game a week so love to catch up with a roundup.

So anyone else got any views after the ore season games.
From my perspective of a bear's fan I'm depressed, Justin Fields was ordinary, Andy Dalton was Andy Dalton, and then Mitch ateuvisky came along and played like he never played for the Bears!
As far as the rest goes I haven't been impressed with the new QBs so far, in fact the best performances were Baker Mayfield, who seemed to have developed a bullet arm, and Josh Allen who looks to have made another big step forwards

The Neil Reynolds ones where he interviews someone are often good.I prefer to watch his 'Inside the Huddle' one on the TV though.
On Youtube I watch the highlights of the Pat McAfee show (lots of cursing so not a family show) and any clips from chunter monkeys like Colin Cowherd that catch my interest.
I also fast-forward through the first hour of GMFB on Sky most lunchtimes, that covers the day's news/big stories in 40mins or so.

Pre-season is ultimately a bit meaningless - I wouldn't place too much importance on any of the performances. Mac Jones did look decent at times (and his performances must have in part persuaded Belicheck to bin off Newton) but until you get the rookies into a proper regular season game you never know if they're going to be able to perform or not. Reckon Fields could do with sitting behind Dalton for a year - that approach did wonders for Mahomes.

I use dodgy streams for the games, but for highlights just use the Sky Sports YouTube channel.Has anyone found a half-decent American football podcast or youtube channel? I don't have enough time to watch more than one game a week so love to catch up with a roundup.

Good to see the Tueday BBC highlights show return - it provided a good round up of the action that none of the Sky shows seemed to.
Confirmed earlier today that it's back in the post Newsnight slot on Tuesday night from 11.15pm. The Saturday night preview show will also continue in the post MOTD slot on BBC, but will evidently be made available via the red button / iplayer earlier in the day (afternoon / evening) to save having to watch it after 1am.Quite a few of the overnight 'primetime' games are on 'free' Sky channels as there's nothing much else to show in the middle of the night.
Also, the Sunday RedZone show is on the 'Sky Sports Mix' channel that is part of the entertainment package not the sport package, so no need to pay top whack for that.

I see Jon Gruden has fallen on his sword after foolishly documenting his low views in emails to other people.
In other news, I attended the Jets v Falcons game at the weekend. Whilst it was entertaining (and not helped by having a crowd of neutrals) it confirmed my view that American Football is a game best served by television. (I have the opposing view for Association Football)
