Honestly, sometimes I wonder what the guys deciding entrants to these events are thinking about. Making a Carrera V10 park in the public field?
And is it me, or is the mascot on that faux Bugatti a stevedore shooting up?

2 x Volvo C70's and my automotive equivalent of leproesy, the modern convertible Beetle on the grid, lowly CGT in the field.
I was happy to see 2 pug 206 cabriolets. Much rarer it would seem than Ariel atoms and jaguar project 7's. That's what makes Goodwood a great morning is the variety. (Or sometimes lack of)ecsrobin said:

The mix was great, a shame to see a CGT not in the main event. How do they make the call, first come or something else, genuinely interested? yonex said:

How the hell did I miss some of these cars? Where were that Continental and the MonteCarlo coupe hiding? And as for this...IMG_4378 by flimper1, on Flickr
Really? Would you let (by the look of it, even encourage) your child do this? Either of mine would get the bking of their life if I saw them doing that!
Not that its quite as expensive as the Lambo - its equally as precious to me but I was stood with my E36 M3 Evo and a father picked his child up to have a look inside and the child swung his feet back and forth kicking the door about 5 times until I asked him to be more considerate and his response was to tell me that I should bring my car to the event if I was prepared to have that - I was so took back with his arrogance and lack of care I actually didn't react - I didn't know what to do - fortunately since had I not been so shocked with his response I could have reacted in a bad way.
It's a sad fact of modern life. Just before I was leaving a guy was over near the Atoms in the covered paddock and he was taking pictures, no problem apart from his shin was bending my light pod back as he pushed to get a better angle
I asked him to watch his leg and he just looked at me like I was asking him how to navigate a rocket to Mars. Some people are just ignorant sods. Nothing was broken but it irritated me, what with that and zips on people's jackets clanging against cars as they look into them it can be an expensive day out!

Last year I spent 8 hours giving the "M" a really good detail and on the way there a little spirited driving on the back roads to Goodwood and I limped into the entrance on the Lavant Straight...
Sadly the top bolts on the strut had been over torqued and snapped - I was a lucky boy - however you would have been surprised at the number of people pointing and laughing at my expense as I waited for a tow truck - people were pointing and laughing even though they knew it was my car and I was stood next to it able to hear every comment - how I didn't offer some people out is beyond me - a few and I mean a few people came over to actually talk and offer to help and so on but the majority were just plain nasty, when I made the effort I did.
Its lovely to attend with like minded people who respect all the cars some of which are worth more than the average home and only appear on lottery lists to those cars which are nothing but normal but loved no less by their owners. Sadly some people just don't know how to be respectful or decent - I sound like a right old moaning g*t!!!
