I'm looking for something to do this Saturday and came across this at Goodwood.

Can't find out much about it, so is it a spectator event? and worth a visit for a few hours?

I've been to quite a few of the sprints down there and they all tend to be brilliant - normally some "special" cars taking part which get driven to win...

Its free and the sun is going to be out, you can normally wander round the garages to get a closer look and smell - suns out, bacon roll - not much more perfect a reason to head down and ogle for a few hours. I've managed to convince Mrs Big to let me head down myself (assuming she is happy with the lunch I'm having to bribe her with!).

Ill be there in the E36 M3.

Thanks Alex, I'm going to try and get there early afternoon.

Either in my MK Indy or if Mrs.F7 wants to join me then the Impreza. (She won't go anywhere near the kitcar let alone sit in it hehe)

Popped down for a couple of hours in the morning with my son and managed to get a few photos in between getting him and ice cream and having a picnic lunch.

Added them to my general Goodwood 2016 album here......

Very pleased I went yesterday, a great mix of cars to see on track. And superb weather for a change!

Dig123 - what number were you? I took a few pics so could check.

What a great day out. My first ever sprint and the Elise didn't let me down. Each run I took time off, 3 seconds on my first timed run and ended up at 97.82. 4 laps, but so much better than any track day with that level of competition between other drivers, but more so against yourself.

I had a great time on Saturday and would like to thank the BHMC for organising a great event and making me feel welcome. I was in the Vauxhall Nova. It was the first time this car has done any competition since 2002. It was built in the late 1990's by my Dad who passed away last year so to get it out on track with some "numbers" on it felt great. It was my first drive at Goodwood and only my 2nd time in the car so a big learning curve round this awesome circuit!

Great tribute and a great car. I was showing it to both my nippers as my Mum had a GSI in 1990 from new.

Indeed well organised event. Me passing the finish line..

Really felt for the poor person who found the wall with their cobra replica, looked like a cracking car but royally fooked after the accidentfrown truly gutting to see so much hard work ruined and will really make me think twice before taking my car on the track (if it ever gets finished), I would imagine probably not insured either...

He went wide, got on the grass and looked like he was trying to save it before realisation set in and he became a passenger into the wall. Real shame for both cars
