It wasn't that bad going through cowfold A272 way, it was fairly well compacted

We too got stuck in A27 traffic, a quarter of a mile in an hour! With my 3 year old in the back decided to turn around and go back home, real shame, last year was good. For the FOS I think I'll leave at 6:30am

I would say that for the first time ever, there were probably too many cars. We got in at about 9 and by the time we had worked our way through all the stuff parked on the track, the paddock and pit lane were mostly empty. I had thought that the pre-registration would reduce the number of identical cars there, so many Porsches and things no sensible person would ever call a supercar cluttered up the place in my opinion.

Still worth it though.

What on earth happened this morning? Perfect run down the A3 and the A283 only to sit for almost 30mins for the last half a mile before the car park entrance.
Cars were badly directed with some actually parked in by a row in front and behind them.
Totally under catered for food vans, too crowded to see any of the (actual Super) cars and the usual wk fest of lunatics pulling 1st and 2nd gear full bore exits from the circuit with a load salivating YouTube nerds 3 feet away either side of them. Sooner or later someone will over cook it and fire it into those crowds. I totally understand that people are most excited by seeing these cars on the move and under power but to leave that to chance in that environment when you have an entire circuit 200m away is madness.
It could easily be replicated in a safer environment on the circuit and with a more spectacular viewing result.
Uncharacteristic poor effort from the Goodwood team in my opinion. I won't rush back to breaksfast club unless I take the bike and have already had breakfast.

Same here. Was crazy traffic so went for breakfast at west witterings instead and then back home! Becoming a victim of its own success.

I rode a motorcycle today and was glad of it. Monstrous traffic.
Too many people for me and too many cars, particularly of the same type. It's good to see it succeed but it's too much now.
Also stupid queues for food.

Breakfast used to be £10. Was served next to the pit lane and you might wait 10 mins assuming you were there 8am -830. This obviously worked too well. Breakfast in the JS pavilion. Pay £15. Get a ticket then....come back in an hour. Sir. There were too few on site caterers as well. It's mentally busy there now even on a few years ago. I wouldn't go to the FOS from a few years back since it morphed into 'a thing' that's too busy as well.

Having got stuck in traffic at previous Goodwood events I arrived just after 7 and seeing the traffic on the way out this was a good move. Defiantly a larger selection of amazing cars but as mentioned above I sadly see someone running out of talent on the exit in a similar fashion as the now famous 488 a few weeks back.

I know it’s hard to criticise a free event but maybe limiting the number of certain models and running the cars further round the track and not parking either side of the main straight will reduce some of the crowding.

Anyway, a big thanks to the Goodwood team for putting on such an event

Maybe I got lucky, but I arrived at 7:45, no traffic to speak of and parked straight away.

Left at 10:30ish and was out of the carpark on my way within 10 minutes.

Had breakfast that took about 15 minutes to queue up for, other than that very impressed at the turn out although whoever let a Ford Focus RS in needs to look up the definition of supercar smile

Got there at 8, left about 9.30. No queue getting in but car park was essentially full. The queue trying to get in when we left was massive, never seen it like that before!
That said, for me it was a great event, so many F40s!
All the people moaning about food, just don't eat? Can you not cope for 90 mins without food or what? Never understand the moans, eat before you leave!

Didn't go this morning, first time in a few years I've not. Seems like I avoided the delay!

Dare I suggest they do this Supercars theme twice a year to try and stop the mass crowding?

I'd agree if the bacon rolls were only average, but they're pretty special and many look forward to them as an integral part of the morning.

Arrived at 0730 with no queue to get in, straight to breakfast with no line at the NAAFI wagon. Yes the crowds are busy and some questionable "supercars" but a great event as always.

I departed via the main entrance and it was crazy the amount of people viewing there. I know goodwood in the past have tried to stop people meeting there but it's impossible to control. When I went past speeds were controlled by people behaving for cyclists so didn't see any stupid driving the odd rev or short burst but nothing of an unacceptable level.

And 7 F40's, 3 Carrera GT's, 2 Singer porsches and a McLaren P1 LM pretty impressive turnout.

And £9 for sausage baguette and tea and a free copy of motorsport magazine so a cheap mor Jong out!!

It's a nice breakfast and they could sell a LOT of them. No one wants an hours wait though. Similarly I'm not some reedy looking IT Waller in extra tight trousers. I ate prior to leaving. 2 hours later I'm hungry. Given the size of the estate and the fact that there is no current UK shortage of eggs and bacon you'd think catering would be completely sorted.

I arrived at 7.30 and parked in the field by the Shell building which was about 1/3 full by then. Got bacon roll straight away without any queues. Left at 9.30 at which time the car park was full and they were turning people away. I did pop down down to Sainsbury’s then got caught up in the queues when I went to go home. Sat nav at 10:15 was saying delays were 35mins but managed to make a detour to avoid the worse of it.

I made the mistake of trying to get in at 8ish, a hour and a half later I park up. Worse traffic then the FoS. Amazed how many cars parked on the circuit, though so many were the same (not complaining if they're rare ie the two Carrera GT's parked next to each other).

Long lines for everything, food (and the place I went to ran out of food!), toilets, getting in and out.

I agree about the amount of similar cars. I sat and watched the cars arriving at about 8.30 at the main entrance and there was only one guy on the gate, lots just turned in, obviously without passes, and he seem powerless to stop them. Only saw one get turned away, a mint E30 M3 which would have been more interesting than most that sneaked in.

I personally feel that moaning about a free event is ridiculous. Just don't go again!

I had a great morning, met in Dorking at 7:30, great drive down the A29 with 2 x C63's, a 500bhp RS4 and a K20 powered Elise, ended up in a huge convoy coming through Petworth and followed a lovely and very loud RS6.

Ok the queues to get parked were long but it's to be expected imo at that time as it's a free event!

Thanks to all at Goodwood! The drive there and back is worthwhile imo. Seeing the F40's was just a bonus!

I think you really need to be there by 8am at the latest. We arrived in convoy at about 7.30am and had no trouble at all parking. We had all met up at 6.15am and enjoyed a well planned hoon across Hampshire and West Sussex. Thanks Notax for a well organised morning of fun! i look forward to the next onedrivingwoohoo
