What a bizarre post
maybe he's annoyed because his M3 got stuck in the Revival carparks this year... I dont own an M3.
The only time Ive been stuck in a carpark at Goodwood is when I turned the engine off and got out along with the rest of the car park to watch Mark Hanna about 10 or so yrs ago.

Funny, having ignored this 'offer' and their multiple phone calls, they have now offered me full membership. Since signing up on the waiting list years ago though I have since moved further away, so not sure it is worth it. It has also become a bit too popular these days.
Sorry but can you clarify that. Are you saying that you declined to join the Fellowship so they just straight away jumped to offering you the full GRRC membership that people who said "yes" to the Fellowship will have to wait years for?
WillS.
This is my first read of this thread. Some balanced views, some rather extreme. For what they're worth here are my thoughts:
I am not a GRRC member, but if I was I would not be concerned at the introduction of the Fellowship. If I felt that I wasn't getting value for the delta in the relative costs of Membership and Fellowship, I could become a Fellow.
The bottom line here is that the GRRC is very popular. People who join tend to stay and people want to join, thus creating a long waiting list.
References in this thread to boycotting Breakfast Club are off-topic. That is a freebie available to all and one that I have enjoyed many times. Sometime earlier this year steps were taken to manage numbers - it was getting very busy.
I have joined the Fellowship and don't begrudge my £39 because, as many have pointed out, the payments get deducted from the Membership fee if/when I ever get to the top of the waiting list.
Iin the meantime I will enjoy the film footage and other bits and pieces that come with the Fellowship.

Blimey they are ringing me up now asking if I'd like to join the "fellowship" as I was missing out, guess they have actually worked out that revenue stream is not as good as first promised by the revenue consultants they employed with some petrolheads like me telling them to take a hike then. I tried to explain that actually for me there was no real benefit paying for the privilege of waiting indefinitely to join and I am not bothered about the members meeting , so no thanks. Got quite shirty but I guess they are paid on getting people to join the fellowship.
Their loss , I cancelled the waiting list and won't be going to Goodwood anymore. I can see those cars at other places elsewhere. FOS is open to the public but again is repeated a lot if like me you go a few years in a row and I did the Revival once sat on the pit wall the whole day (can't repeat that experience.)
Still up to them, I guess they wont miss my £200 a year in tickets (Well £800 as I used to drag the family along ). Always thought the fellowship idea would come back and bite them.................why else would they be chasing people to sign up.

I’ve been offered full membership. I’m a Londoner, so I doubt I’ll see much benefit beyond a couple of trips a year and I’m struggling to see value.
Were you first offered 'Fellowship'?This is really odd - existing members have until the end of December to renew or not. So, unless someone positively gives up their membership (which is unlikely), GRRC can't possibly know there are any places to offer until January 1st.

It’s not really their loss. The 2 events you mention sell out earlier than ever (around April/May this year) so if you don’t go someone else will. I’ve said it a few times now the last breakfast club after the fellowship announced there appeared to be far more fellowship members than full members.

I am confused (not for the first time!). Surely there is no connection between the Breakfast Club and GRRC membership/fellowship as the Breakfast Club is open to all?I’ve said it a few times now the last breakfast club after the fellowship announced there appeared to be far more fellowship members than full members.

Correct there is no connection with breakfast club and GRRC but every other car on display had a fellowship sticker and plenty of people walking around with fellowship badges which suggests that they aren’t doing too badly on the recruitment. I'm toying with the idea of becoming a fellow, mainly in order to access the video library - as someone else on this thread said - better than a netflix subscription! Can anyone tell me where the videos are hosted? I am wondering if I'll be able to watch them on my TV somehow...
Thanks!

I have an Amazon Firestick plugged into TV, around £30. You can download an Internet browser onto it and watch the Goodwood site videos that way. Thanks!
