Breakfast Clubs also aren't the great money spinners like the other events, so I doubt the budget is there to start organising car park surfaces to help non-paying guests to attend a freebie show.

Not sure I entirely agree, the thing with breakfast clubs is they get people to book rides for the skid pan and other experiences, punters spend cash in the Goodwood shop and of course there's the food. It also gives people who have not experienced Goodwood the chance to see the Circuit and walk the track, all this helps sell tickets for the other events.

The Goodwood estate thinks otherwise, hence the decision.

Why would members be 'hacked off'? Assuming you mean GRRC members, none of the GRRC events have been cancelled (I was there at a GRRC event today...) just the open to all Breakfast Clubs which are not organised by the GRRC.
I didn't realise that but it's hardly professional now is it?

I actually think the last two Breakfast Clubs have been cancelled due to the locals getting fed up with the onslaught of traffic on Sunday morning; I suspect the car park issues are just an excuse, although the grass was quite wet and soggy inside the circuit.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if the Breakfast Clubs next year are very very different, if they exist at all.

Perhaps they could distill the current breakfast club approach down to a monthly members gathering.

Not sure if the numbers would be high enough with that approach.
