Right..... Mrs and the boys want to go.... daughter is doubtful.
Is there stuff to keep a 10yo girl who is not too bothered about cars occupied for a day? I acknowledge her ticket is free but if there is not enough for her to do it will be a nightmare.
Otherwise it means It will just be me and my sons!

As was I joshing! So three blokes going - probably the Friday! I do not intend getting grandstand tickets - we are fit enough to wander all day. What will we miss by not having GS tickets?

Apart from a view a bit higher than everyone else and a seat, not alot really and you get a decent enough view form track side (in my opinion). Some of the car stands have better viewing (you just need to prove you own their car by having your key with you - for example last year Audi had some standing viewing for their 'owners' area)So three blokes going - probably the Friday! Ultimately if she doesn't like cars it is boring. I took my 3 year old daughter last year and she loved it. She liked looking at the cars, watching them race, looking at the planes. Also, there was a section where we played crazy golf football, went on a fairest wheel, went on a small zip line and got her face painted.
No problem. Have taken my daughter of similar age the past two years. Normally bring a friend with her as the tickets are free and it makes no difference to hotel room prices.
You have the Vauxhall stand that has plenty to do for kids. They especially loved the free sweet machine in the back of the Insignia Grand Tourer. Ferris Wheel which we timed to perfection last year as the F1 cars were coming out for their runs. Plus they had the VR cube thing that they had plenty of fun in. I prefer to sit down in the rally stage but they had no problem building dens in the woods! They also loved the tractor rides up to the rally stage.
If you like sitting by the climb and watching sports cars go up then forget it as they will get bored rather quickly.
