Announced today...

03 March: Estate Car Sunday
05 May: All Wheels But Four Sunday
02 June: Supercar Sunday
04 August: Classic Car Sunday
03 November: Eighties Sunday

No Soft Top Sunday this year, but a few new options. They don't really fit into my fleet, but I'm sure many will be delighted smile

I like the sound of all 3 of the new themes as there is scope for some real oddballs and good variety across the year.

BTW registration to attend in March is also open. It's probably going to be a chilly one.

I've always had a liking for estate cars, I think this could be a very interesting theme.

I suppose the Members Meeting being pushed back a few weeks has opened the opportunity for a March meeting, but it's curious that there's not one in October.

Nothing here i will be able to show at this year.

Eighties Sunday sounds like it will be on point though!

Does a Land Rover Discovery count as an estate car?

Nothing there of much interest to me... Estate cars, well OK I've got one but I'm not going to see a car park full of them. '80s cars I drove back in the '80s so they seem like everyday cars to me and the Supercar Sunday I always miss because there's always a scrum and an argument about how many Porsche 911s were there and that they're not 'supercars' anyway. rofl

No ideas for a name

What Bedford had more than 4 wheels in '51?
I thought the VAL was the first 6 wheeler in the 60's

(Or are we counting double wheels? Not sure if Goodwood will be thinking the same way)

Amen to that.
GBC now scraping the bottom of the barrel & the event now a bit desperate tacky & grossly overcrowded. As for Supercar Sunday - if I see yet another Porsche of whatever version I'll scream - but then I won't be attending despite living 15 minutes away

Agreed - this is an odd-ball collection of events. I'm all for change but when I used to get both my cars to 1 event each - and now I am not eligible for any events in 2019 - that's somewhat frustrating.

Which reminds me of when I attended a Supercar meet years ago before you had to book ahead. I turned up in my wife's oldish but highly polished Mercedes boggo basic SLK & despite the obvious disabled sticker ( at the time I was also qualified to access disabled faculties ) was not directed to the disabled parking area but to the inner paddock. Had to laugh at the irritated expressions all huffing & puffing indignant at my apparent cheek but was glad to be able to park in a quiet corner as if I was a member of staff.
All respect to Goodwood though for they are respectful of those with limited mobility either with parking in the adjacent fields or on site.

Called in yesterday (Saturday) & there was a day long charity event ( Cancer ) with a huge field of Supercars & general quality fast stuff. A sort of Run What You Brung I guess. Brilliant track action & totally free except for a voluntary donation. Why would I want to go back today & view line ups of (static) estate cars zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Here are details for yesterday’s Saywell charity days and the dates for the rest of the year - always good:

I hate to go against the grain here, but today's BC was enjoyable, in part thanks to the (atrocious) weather and a lack of crowds. The breakfast bap was awesome too, as was the drive down on empty roads, being chased by a lovely Focus ST estate in Frozen Grey.

Did anyone manage any photos if they could hold a camera in the wind and rain?
