Why does it say an “evening in March”. I’m going in April.

There's a 2 hour members meeting highlights program on ITV4 on Sunday at 6.15 for anyone without live stream access.

Complete own goal by restricting the live stream, for both Goodwood and their (many many many) sponsors.

As the whole event is broadcast live anyway, there is no additional cost to have the entire stream on YouTube, and the loss in ads revenue (from YouTube) from not steaming the whole thing will not have been offset by the minuscule number of people who will have actually stumped up for the pointless fellowship just to watch the whole stream.

I doubt your average viewer of the feed is suddenly going to buy an IWC watch or bottle of Veuve on an impulse buy during a livestream on YouTube.

You never know.

And, as with all advertising, it plants the seeds of desire in some peoples' minds - so they might buy the product later and not even remember where they learned of it.

The stated purpose of the Fellowship is to provide digital content so this move was inevitable.

As required by law the Goodwood company accounts are freely available, anyone who believes they can offer the duke business advice might first like to take a look at how he's doing so far!

I think people are thinking of "goodwill" rather than pure "profit and loss".

It’s on the Goodwood website. You need to be signed in to see it. Just sign in as if you were buying event tickets.

The entirety of Day 1 is up now for all to see.

I hope they leave it up for at least a few days so I can get to watch it.

Shame about the lack of live stream this weekend, but no great surprise I guess.

I've looked at GRRC Fellowship membership over the years, but it simply seems a gateway of spending more money with Goodwood rather than anything else. The restricted live stream is a way of justifying its own existence. If I lived local to Goodwood and could afford the tickets for the family, I'd pay for membership without any complaint, but that's not me anymore.

But we get a couple of races, hopefully half decent ITV4 highlights and free stream BTCC for much of tomorrow anyway, so all is not lost.

Oops - it was late (that's my excuse).

The weather two years ago looked very similar to this year.

/\ This.

I'm not a member, but over the years I've given lots of money to Godwad - attending two MM, a few FOS and most of the Revivals.

I've never wanted to attended all the two or three days at whatever Godwad event I've been to
and have (until now) enjoyed dipping into the live stream on the days when I'm not there.
