Hi team,

Myself and a couple of mates are heading to the GWR tomorrow, and I’ve noticed someone locally selling some Roving Grandstand passes locally on a well known website. Can someone explain exactly what you get with these, and if you believe they are worth the extra? Traditionally we have just wondered round, and sat on one of the grass banks to watch the action.

Thank you in advance for any input!

Been going for years, never bought a grandstand pass yet. Especially not this weekend, the grass will be perfectly dry!

Yes, you’ve kinda confirmed my thoughts, I shall not bother!

Grandstand only worth it if it's raining IMO!

Or if you're aged or infirm. It doubles the price of the admission, and does seem rather an expensive add-on. I usually get them, but then again I'm aged AND infirm. Good way to get away from excessive heat, too.
