Goodwood MM postponed
Discussion
78th Members’ Meeting postponed until October 2021
After careful consideration and in light of the UK Government’s statement earlier this week, we have taken the decision to postpone the 78th Members’ Meeting until 16-17 October 2021.
We would like to reassure you that your original tickets will remain valid for the new date and will automatically roll over once again, so you do not need to do anything other than hold onto your existing tickets. If you are not able to attend the new date in October, please contact the Ticket Office on 01243 755055.
The 78th Members' Meeting will now be the triumphant finale to a spectacular season of motorsport at Goodwood. You can look forward to the welcome return of much-loved races, as well as the exciting prospect of some brand new additions to the Members' Meeting programme.
The rally sprint will also go ahead as planned, and promises to be even more dramatic thanks to the earlier darkness in October, which means the cars and drivers will face a full night stage. Additional special demonstrations, along with star cars and drivers, will be announced in the coming months.
You'll be able to share a meal with friends in the Great Hall, enjoy the music and atmosphere in the Daffodil and win points for your house in the off-track activities. Saturday evening will be more special than ever, with unmissable entertainment and food, along with the incredible firework display and the cordial atmosphere that brings together the GRRC community.
We would like to thank you for your continued support, patience and understanding during what has been a challenging time for all of us, and we are so delighted to glimpse light at the end of this tunnel.
Kindest regards,
The Duke of Richmond and Gordon
Edit: For clarity.. cut and pasted from an email from Goodwood this morning... I am neither the Duke of Richmond - nor am I Gordon!

Great news. Just moved my accommodation.
Don’t suppose we’ll see many daffodils in October!
As a photographer I'm excited about the possibility of how amazing the light could be! Don’t suppose we’ll see many daffodils in October!
Good news about 78MM - that date suits me nicely. Will be a highlight of the year for me.
Premier Inn around GW is all booked up on those dates - but found you only have to go about 20 miles out to find something.
However, I am now unsure about the Revival;
a) It is too close to 78MM
b) If it is open to 200k people, then I don't think I fancy that.
I do have a hotel booked for Revival time just in case, but now the MM is running, I think I will give Revival a miss.
I see that Revival tickets are still available.
Not sure if GW are being a bit over optimistic about FoS too. Personally not worried about that as I won't be going.
Still a lot of uncertainty in the world - but 78MM is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I can always recommend the Hampshire Hog out at Clanfield, just off the A3. You cut across via Finchdean and Funtingdon.
Langstone Inn just across the bridge of doom onto Hayling Island is also available and easy to get to. And you can wander back down to the Ship Inn for some decent grub.
If you want inside Chi...Trents still has rooms available and parking.

Yep traffic really isn't a hardship with the MM so 20 miles is nothing, loads of stuff available. I've stayed in Arundel before, nice quiet quick run out and in and this time I'm going with Emsworth (right on the A27).Premier Inn around GW is all booked up on those dates - but found you only have to go about 20 miles out to find something.

Hilton Ageas bowl. 35-40 mins away from Goodwood. Decent hotel.
Reassuringly expensive and very plush B &B in West Wittering for me , 15 minutes from the circuit and 5 minutes from an excellent curry house , I take the view that as the MM already costs me a 600mile round trip , 4 days and an arm and a leg to get in , hang the expense . It's an annual treat - in normal times - and, effectively , I saved so much by not being able to go last year that it's almost free this year !
