Thank fk for that. Very pleased, just got the email too. I've had both jabs, the other half due her 2nd about then so she'll just have to do the lateral flow test. BRING. IT. ON!
I will need to use a lateral flow as I get my 2nd jab the week before so won’t meet the 14 day requirement
Worth it though. I only got my jabs earlier than my Mrs due to some elderly voluntary work I do, not because I'm a cradle snatcher, although she is a few years younger. Having managed to get a hotel not too far way for the night before (for the second year running) I didn't fancy trying to do that again if it was moved or cancelled.

Quite a few concerns bring raised on social media about the standard of the event compared to previous years (i.e. potential lack of international and manufacturer support).

Not sure if people would have a leg to stand on with that, you don't buy a ticket with a condition that an event is similar to the previous year!

As long as there’s some early 2000’s F1 cars and beer I’m fine with it hehe

I can’t see many concerns on FB but I am surprised someone want to take their 5 month old to the event. Can’t think of a worse place to take a young child other than a war zone.

Don't forget you can order a pack of the appropriate home tests via the dotgov site, free of charge.

That is good news. I couldn't get tickets but it's great to see it going ahead.

I have some from the pharmacy and can get more from there. They hand them out on the streets often in London too.

Medical apartheid has arrived at Goodwood. I am not going and requested refund on my tickets. If its the same for the Revival, I am asking for my membership fee back.

Shame on the people that think this is a good thing to have prove you are healthy to attend a motorsport event.

Then you aren’t likely to be going to a sporting event for a very long time. Vaccine status and tests are here for the long term

It's only a Lateral Flow Test, it's free, easy, done at home. As requirements go it's the most lenient and basic possible in the current climate.

How is that 'apartheid' in any shape or form?

Social conditioning. You have to sign-up to the NHS Track and Trace Scheme. If something is so easy to get around as you are suggesting (I agree) then what safety value is it.

Im out, if you want to throw away your future freedoms and those of your kids, on your conscious be it.

Leave him be. I hope there’s others with his line of thinking. Means there be plenty of room at Goodwood for once smile
