What are you all looking forward to? I hope paddock access is still good; walking round the historic race cars is always the highlight for me.
I'm in performance parking for the first time as I haven't owned a qualifying car before. I'm hoping there are some interesting trade stalls as I'll be near enough to nip back to the car with anything heavy!Jules Sunley said:

Nice! I'm after some garage decorations if I see them.... but I'm not in performance parking and will be in the Westfield if the weather plays ball... I'd best take a decent backpack!F20CN16 said:

I’m hoping caterham have a stand as usual. Think it’s time to own one so a good opportunity to size one up.
I’d love to build my own. If I had a bucket list, that’d be on it.shutter_speed said:

I'd best take a decent backpack!Does anyone know if Roger Penske and Mario are still planning to attend? Two absolute legends, would love to see them at the FoS. Very interested to see the driver line-up, always fun to see drivers re-acquainting themselves with old race cars.
Having said that, I found myself getting excited about seeing a couple of old classics in my local high street recently - I think it will be sensory overload in a couple of weeks. And I can't wait...

I for one can't wait...! I way up the risk vs reward. Pretty much the same way I do when I get in a fast car and push it. If I only every thought of the consequences I would likely never do it again but the pleasure it brings me is too great to say no.. Risk vs reward..
I'll remain balanced and try to remain responsible and be considerate to others and I'll try to preserve me own life because you only get one and I enjoy it and I value my friends and family but without enjoyment then what's the point...
Each to their own and live and let live but Goodwood, motorsport and cars in general are the things that put the biggest smile on my face beyond family..I could batton down the hatches forever, ( and you might need to if you want to completely mitigate the risk of this virus ), and remain safe but safe and unhappy surely comes second to minimal risk + happy?
As for social conditioning......"I am a man not a number " You can try and make me a number but at any opportunity I'll have fun if I think it's worth the risk..

Glad it’s going ahead, if a little nervous about mixing so closely with so many unknown people. I’m hoping the screening checks are effective.
We’ve changed our stand design significantly to make it more open, and will have to restrict access to the car interiors to allow for cleaning between guests, but it should still be enjoyable for those visiting.
Will be there from Wednesday to brief the stand staff. Friend was meant to be having a 50th party on Saturday evening back home, so I’d decided not to stay until Sunday. He’s now had to cancel the party due to the ongoing restrictions …
And the highlight of GFoS - my room at Butlins is booked

I fancied the performance car parking but £69 fee feels like a rip off.. Also hear that you are pretty much guaranteed to be queuing for a while to get out..the plus is clearly closer to the venue..G
