I'm in performance parking for the first time as I haven't owned a qualifying car before. I'm hoping there are some interesting trade stalls as I'll be near enough to nip back to the car with anything heavy!
I fancied the performance car parking but £69 fee feels like a rip off.. Also hear that you are pretty much guaranteed to be queuing for a while to get out..the plus is clearly closer to the venue..G
I almost bought a ticket for pp in 2019 but I'm sure it was only £50. I'm guessing it's gone up to help cover last years losses

Having said that, I found myself getting excited about seeing a couple of old classics in my local high street recently - I think it will be sensory overload in a couple of weeks. And I can't wait...
Same here... I remember taking my friends son a few years ago when his was in his early teens... almost exploded with excitement when we saw a Cobra kit car in the public car park......A little while later was saw Bobby Rahal walking around and I pointed him out, and friends son replied... (a little too loudly for my liking) "who's Bobby Ahole"

Nice! I'm after some garage decorations if I see them.... but I'm not in performance parking and will be in the Westfield if the weather plays ball... I'd best take a decent backpack!
I went in my Caterham one year. My pal who joined me bought an F1 wheel to turn into a table. We're both 6'4". It was quite a squeeze and I've not let him forget it!timbo999 said:
I'm looking forward to seeing the Lotus Emira in the flesh two days after its first reveal and seeing some mates I haven't seen for sometime, including a London ambulance crewman who has had a bit of a busy year (and, yes, he did get one of my free tickets!).
Mmm, a new Lotus at FoS, better be there on the Sunday then!Mabbs9 said:

This is my fear too
Fingers crossed it won’t get cancelled at the last gasp, if it does, it won’t be Goodwood that do it, it will be a government forced decision. I’ve had my accommodation booked for nearly 6 months now, It’s the first year I’ve stayed so close to the event for the whole weekend, to try and squeeze more out of the days, and not have to crack off at stupid o’clock in the morning in order to get to the event at a reasonable time. I’d be really peed off if it doesn’t happen now.Well I'm going and cant wait I've had both jabs and do at least 3 l.f. tests a week. I will wear mask when I feel it is necessary. I have been lucky enough to continue working throughout all of this on public transport. The amount of people who have flouted the advice is incredible and I have lost a very good friend and colleague through this. If you don't believe in the testing etc that's up to you all the more room for me. Bring it on cant wait!!!

Ive not been for a couple of years, so just wondering if the food vendors etc will all be accepting card payment? Or should I just take cash?
Even the Naafi van at the circuit and Horsebox are taking cards, I would imagine food vendors at FOS will be the same.A bit of cash as a backup for when all the internet falls over would be advised though
I would imagine masks would still be at the very least strongly advised in the loos, in the indoor facilities, manufacturer stands etc and on public transport when travelling to and from the event. Possibly at major pinch points outdoors such as queueing to get in too if 2m distancing is impractical. All fine by me, 12hr wedding days with masks on are the reality for me so occasional wear out and about is no hardship!

IIRC only MasterCard accepted as they are a sponsor. Visa, Amex etc no go.
They are the preferred payment partner but I'm positive that you've been able to use other cards (I only have VISA, been attending for many many years and have never had an issue). It would be somewhat anti-competitive to block other payment providers surely.Gassing Station | Goodwood Events | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
