I read that as that you'd booked period trains for the weekend to Monday! That would be clever!

You'd be going some, the local railway was closed in 1953!

Countdown has properly begun here. 2 hours of work left then…

Incredibly it’s been 4 years since our last visit, can’t wait to soak it all up again!

Yes. My daughter and SIL went with me for the first time and that was the first thing they saw - my daughter mentioned sensory overload.

I can beat that route. I once drove from Belfast. 9 hours from Cairnryan to Chichester, including a stop to leave items at an auction house in Cirencester. I'm not going this year (injury) but can't wait till next. Could someone put up the link for the live feed when it's available ?

Automobilia. Some books, models and my 257 item race programme collection. (Est £100-150, raised £660 -auctioneers don't always know best.).

Just a quick word of warning. In spite of councils being warned of the date of the event, there are road works in the areas of Chichester and Haselmere. In Chichester, the road from the Festival Theatre north to Lavant has roadworks and therefore a one way system governed by traffic lights. At least, it did on Wednesday. These roadworks have been ongoing for some time. The road from Hindhead south into Haselmere also has roadworks and traffic lights this evening, Thursday. It would be nice to think that both of these roadworks would be finished tomorrow, at least, but....

The ones by the theatre 4 way traffic lights were still in use yesterday evening but I don’t see that causing any issues as the route to Lavant is for residents only.

Went to the revival today - straight in and straight out without a single queue (and didn’t have any special tickets - just public parking). Really well organised despite the horror stories of yesterday.

Got to see the BRM V16 running in anger which was a pretty mind-blowing experience! Lots of the old stuff makes a loud & unique noise but that BRM is otherworldly! In period it must have seemed like a space rocket.

Glorious weather today too - loved it thumbup
