FoS motorcycle parking

Thanks to Pete V I am now heading to FoS on Saturday. I'm debating whether to go by motorcycle or jump in a car with others in my party. A couple of questions someone might be able to help with:

• are motorcycles permitted in the 'car' parking areas/fields?
• any rough idea how much time cars might queue for exiting at 17:00ish?
• would I need to take a shuttle bus to the proper motorcycle parking area?

I suspect the currently forecast rain will be the deciding factor.

Hi,

I’ve commuted by motorbike to FOS for a number of years. There is dedicated bike parking at the circuit and you can then walk to the venue. I think there is also a minibus that runs backwards and forwards between the bike parking and the venue.

There is also storage facilities at the bike parking for your helmet etc. There used to be a nominal fee for this.

In recent years Ive tended to commute by car and will do that again this year. This is because of the faff of getting changed into bike gear but also because of the risk of bad weather. It’s a pretty miserable experience having to put on and off wet bike gear. That said, the joy of a bike is there is no queuing, unlike the cars!
