I thought it was just me dreaming that it felt absurdly busy this year, has capacity been increased? I spend quite a bit time around the chicane infield and every year previous it's been easy to just wander into a spot on the fence line nearest the chicane at any time...not a chance this year. The crowd line was pretty solid all the way to Madgwick.

I'd forgotten about the new housing developments which are getting nearer and nearer. They were clearly visible in the drone shots of the circuit.
How long before Nimbys start whining ?
I did not realise the new houses were so close to the track. Perhaps like Glastonbury, locals get free tickets, or go on holiday and rent their houses outHow long before Nimbys start whining ?

I also thought it was much busier this year than previously, which is a real shame.
Great day today, weather held out and was warm through the afternoon. Some brilliant racing but yep, significantly more people than last year and year’s past. The joy of this event was the limited numbers and ‘club’ feeling over the big headline events, sadly ruined. TimLam7 said:

Was it always 25k per day for the MM? Staggeringly busy this year, I guess it was inevitable, a lot more opportunities to sell a small slice of bacon in a toasted muffin for £7.50.What a great day, thanks to all those who organise, marshall, compete and contribute to the day!
I was lucky/unlucky enough to see the Golf land on the marshall. Obviously first and foremost I hope he's OK. Secondly though, they need some more training before the next event; he wasn't the only one on that side of the car....
I also saw the wheel fall off the Aston! An eventful spot!

After 20+ years of Revival and more recently Members Meetings, that will be my last. Took me an hour and a half from A27 to car park, at 9.30 am this morning, the whole event was very crowded and had poor facilities really, seating limited and some scummy catering vans. The market place had some singer whose amp was turned up so loud no one could converse, and bar staff couldn't hear orders.
The redeeming feature of course was the racing which was exciting, but not so as to override all the negatives. Still it'll save me a fair bit on GRRC annual membership, tickets and expensive food and drink.
