Oh and go to the Kennels. Lovely nosh and surrounding, really good value as well. And you never know who might be sitting on the next table....various faces present when I went there during the FoS
Indeed Kennels are superb, joined up for their golf and attended champagne reception for the opening - it is fantastic. Did you venture into the mens changing rooms upstairs, just great. That reminds me meant to be taking a friend down for 18 next week, must ring and book - Tally ho.

No I didnt, and have to admit, I didnt know what was up there!!!
Well, I'm intending to go every time I'm in the area so I'll have a look

If you didn't venture upstairs at all then you also missed the library - another super cool room with car and plane books and all sorts of interesting stuff. Make sure you poke your nose in there as well.

Just been told by Mrs Stumpage that she has got us tickets for the Revival (Saturday) for my birthday.
The thing is she is heavily pregnant. Are there plenty of placed to sit and take it easy? Also those of you who have been before, what are the must see things?

There are a fair few eating areas and grassy areas to sit down plus as a major bonus to the two of you there are also tractors with seated trailers to ferry people around the circuit.
Must see attractions are, in all honestly, everything! Seriously though, make sure you get a programme and perhaps try and cherry pick the races that you want to see and that way you can miss some of the races to go and enjoy the paddock/funfair/pimms tent etc at your leisure.
Hope this helps.
Oh and get there early as there really is lots to see!

I have done Goodwood festival of speed, even driven the track several times with Mythril but I'm a Revival virgin. This is to be fixed this year. I have a ticket including Grandstand but no clobber. I want to get some period clothes (see myself as a RAF Officer). Does anyone know where I can hire some gear in Essex?
Thanks
Thanks
Hi Monty Quick,
Try Illusions in Earls Colne www.wewillfrockyou.com/ - wifey and I have just spent two hours there this evening getting kitted out for Sunday 3rd - they have a very large range of outfits to hire, and are incredibly reasonable, not to mention massively enthusiatic... very happy with both mine and my good lady's outfit...
We're fortunately guests of a 'coroporate's hospitality - so really looking for to it...
Thanks Ted for allowing there to be a forum - good move
Guys and gals - very much looking forward to an excellent day....
John
