Goodwood Revival...?
Discussion
OK here goes.
I have literally just been given a ticket to the Revival for Sunday by my boss as it is his twins birthday that day. Never been before and seeking some advice as to the day.
Live in Fareham and work in Chichester, regular visitor to the curcuit on PH event / Breakfast club / TVR etc. Think more of the travelling and parking. Should I take Trev? Or will I just worry about overheating (even with the fan over-ride on ).
Maybe what I need is an "event buddy" to show me the ropes. Does anyone want to do a PH meet up before hand and trundle in as a group? Oh, will of course wear trousers, shirt, tie and jacket for the event, what!
Any help appreciated.

Going on the Saturday, just trying to source some period wet weather gear . Personally going to leave the Tivver at home and opt for the comfy car which will sit in traffic quite happily. Used to be good to take the nice cars down to these things but at the end of the day you park them up and leave them so now usually opt for comfort and more peace of mind. Having said that the car parks are very interesting places for a wander so glad everyone is not as much a wimp as me.

Just got back from my first Revival, and all I can say is that it was bloody awesome. I can't believe how many original period cars are still out there and running. And to whoever owns the 'rat' Bugatti
It was just as good a show in the pre-66 public car-park outside the circuit. And most of the public looked amazing. So many entered into the spirit of it all. Some of the woman looked incredible.
And the eight-Spitfire flypast......
Definitely one for next year, but probably all three days.

I was there all 3 days in period costume and go all three days every year and would not miss it for the world.
It is quite simply and awe inspiring and breathtaking event that never fails to impress! The cars and racing are obviously amazing and the whole atmosphere is great. From the stands and displays through to the door handle-to door handle racing I cannot think of a better way of spending a weekend!
I'm thoroughly miserable and depressed now that the weekend is over and was actually peeved off not to be putting my tweed suit on this morning, boy I wish I was around in the 50's and 60's and be able to dress like this all the time.

The event is a bit pricey, compared to Monaco and Le Mans Clssics, but I think I'd go so far as to describe it as the Greatest Show on Earth...
We had a fabulous weekend!
