Quick question...

can you got out to the car and get back in again on a single day ticket? or is it a case of once your in, your in?

(perterning to a nice cool box in the boot rammed with food...)
Not sure, I did make the mistake a few years back of leaving everything in the car thinking I would 'pop' back to get it (food, drinks etc), main car park is a fair walk from the house and hill so wasn't really an option once in.

This year I am going to try 'the back way' in to see if I can get to park nearer the track wink, then I would leave bits in the car, if I'm in the main car park then I will take it all with me.
YES you can they just stamp your hand on the way out or the ticket that allows you to get back in smile

I'll be there, hopefully going in the Austin... (If it's not raining to much.)

Not been to Goodwood for years, (used to go and watch my dad race there when I was tiny.)

They only publish the times for the events today so if you are lucky someone might post them up when they get back tonight

unfortunately they are not on the website either

the timings for saturday are:

0845 Supercars
0910 Brooklands / Rise of the Single Seaters / Stars of the Indy 500
0955 Classic Endurance Racers / International Sports Cars / Convention Defying Racecars
1035 Classic GP / Evolution of F1 / High Teh F1 Cars
1110 WRC / Motor Cycles / Superbikes / Muscle Bikes / Current F1 Cars
1205 Classic CanAm / DRM Grand Touring Legends / International Racing Saloons / American Stock Cars
1235 Pikes Peak Legends / Group C Prototypes / Modern Endurance Racers

This then repeats through the afternoon.

The Rally Stage has its own sequence

Great day there today - no rain to speak of and quite warm and sunny at times. If someone could walk me through posting pics I have some from today ready.

If you are going don't miss the Cricket Pitch with the Bonneville exhibits

IMHO Sunday is by far the best (although its also the busiest). Most of the professional drivers do the climb on the Sunday - usually practice run in the morning with lots of messing around on the track and the timed runs in the afternoon........Nick Heidfeld currently holds the record at 41.6 seconds - anyone for bets on Lewis H beating it?

Agree that Sunday is the best day to see the drivers going for it.

Modern F1 cars are no longer officially timed since Heidfeld's record run.
