One question ... this pre registration lark what exactly does it mean/ Does it guarntee parking or something?
No, no guarantee. It sounds to me like the local council is breathing down Lord March's neck re the congestion caused by his events so he is gathering stats in order to better prepare and plan events.
I'm sure that I saw your Noble parked up in the tarmac car park.

So how do you get into this car park over the grass field? Smile and look pretty?

A few of mine here;

Goodwood Brekkie

Sorry, all the uploaded ones so far are a bit arty farty so don't really give a true representation of the morning, apart from the evil early morning sky in the first one!

nono I think it's just to build up their mailing list for future marketing purposes. I'm sure the noble Lord pays for the police presence in relation to congestion and must pay so much council tax that I can't see him needing to collect numbers from a registration form that isn't even a requiment for anyone attending!

Great cars and good turnout today but I'm a bit miffed that by taking the 'public' parking option at the roundabout (rather than 'themed cars and disabled') I found myself trundling across a field to park (fortunately NOT muddy thia time). Then upon entering the circuit on foot I found a huge hardstanding car park still with plenty of space at 09:15 where my Chimaera 450 would have been better suited, next to similarly low cars in there. frown

That and £24.00 for two cooked breakfasts which were cold and had to be eaten in an outside area through which was blowing an icy wind, were the only clouds on an otherwise really great event. First time for me and lessons learned!

Luckily, there's no need to input correct information. Yet.

Amusingly (not for you, I must admit) we drove up to the entrance and initially didn't turn in, having seen the signs we were expecting to be directed straight on. The guy on the junction pointed and looked bewildered when we drove on, so 2 roundabouts later we did turn in and were directed straight into the car park, no problems. Merc C Class estate BTW.

Ah, yes, I've found it best to visit the NAAFI wagon for a bacon and egg roll. We tried the sit down option once and were a little underwhelmed (did get a car sticker(s, cough) though).

Today was a good one in my book. Not that busy, the majority of people there were actually interested and enthusiastic in the event which in turn creates a nice atmosphere and good coffee to boot.

I enjoyed a little run down from Guildford with a few others arrived about 830 and straight into tarmac car park. Coffee and bacon sandwich from NAAFI truck and a couple of hours wandering around. A few pics of what was a good turn out of some very nice cars. Well done.

This looked like it had come straight from the barn, amazing.

And the best of day for me:

I enjoyed this one , it was a bit of a damp start on the roads early doors and I was the filling in a high speed classic Porsche convoy on the way down , which was interesting to say the least on damp windy Sussex roads in an ancient 1968 Cortina but I think I held my own... some lovely cars there today , not just pampered show ponies either.

Agreed. Noticed the two pound rise and once sitting down to eat, I noticed the cold egg. Maybe I'll try the van from now on.

Over all I thought a good turn out.

It was £24 last year too. And it was overpriced last year too. wink

I wouldn't mind if it was properly fresh, but £24 for two plates of 'warmed-under-lamps-greasy-eggs-and-soggy-bacon' is not good value if you ask me.
