Not sure yet, most places within 30 miles seem full, apart from large hotel which costs something like 300 quid a night.

Portsmouth or Southampton are usually good bets, far enough away not to be booked, but close enough to be a reasonable drive to Goodwood smile

For those travelling down from London direction, there's unsuprisingly not much (if anything) available in the Midhurst area so probably not worth ringing round, mainly because of the FoS but also because Im getting married there on the Saturday so friends and family have booked up most of what was left! In hindsight not the greatest bit of planning to get married 9 miles from Goodwood on the main route from London on the Saturday of the FoS, but we didn't realise until the date was already set unfortunately, it was only when we had problems booking our wedding night hotel back in December that we realised. banghead

If anyone travelling down that way sees a 50s Rolls Silver Cloud travelling between Easebourne and Midhurst though, give us a toot smile

Aha! Good luck. I've had many happy nights in the hosteleries thereabouts. (Is it the White Horse in Easebourne scratchchin, Bricklayers, Wheatsheaf, Swan etc etc.

Yup, Capron House which is the old part of Midhurst Grammar at the bottom of the high street, where I went to school.

Hi!!

I am also booked onto the Red House Farm site.

Stayed there last year and it's okay.

Arriving on Friday afternoon to set up camp, FOS on Saturday, all day and then back home to sunny Yorkshire on Sunday.

Last year there was a mixed bag of campers.....

You will find us..... a family gathering in a variety of Volvos....

Mines a silver V70; one bother in law in a bronze S80 and another in a dark blue V50. Another B in Law is in a VW Sharan.

Loads of wives and kids in tow, but there to have a ball....as usual.

Just noticed that it is 12 years since we first started doing this trip....

Say hello!

Andrew
