Supercar Sunday - 7th June 2009

I'm told a Reflex/Flip/Two Tone (whatever you want to call it) Tiv crashed in the Underpass at Goodwood after giving it some beans at the start of the tunnel.

Anyone on here?

Oooops! wobble

Not me - but I saw that car, I think. A lovely Tuscan. Must have been after I left.

The guy in the bib stands at the end of the tunnel watching you for a reason biggrin

I'm not totally surprised about this. When I was leaving, I was informed by one of the marshals that I was free to give it some stick through the tunnel if I wanted!! Not wanting to let him down, I was slightly perturbed to find that took a little longer than expected to slow down on the slippery exit.

I'm told the car "bounced off the walls" so some serious paint work damage done.

It was also probably a Tuscan but can't be sure.

I heard the guy was attacked by the infamous Goodwood tunnel troll laugh

Ouch frown,

I only saw four Tuscans far side of the circuit, two in reflex I think, one of which was mine and I got through unscathed, narrows it down a bit? It was a bit slippy through there though.

There was a guy taking photos/filming at the entrance to the tunnel anyone know who he is?

Numerous oil-dripping classics over the years, coupled to a distinct lack of rain?

I have heard that the brother of the marshall at the tunnels entrance; owns a local bodyshop! wink

I was signalled by the marshall going into the tunnel to calm it down, so I just gave it a good old rev going through rather than a burst of speed as it's way too narrow to do put your fort down..

I did see a very very nice flip green/purple Tuscan around, hope it wasn't that one.. !

Not me either, did give it some through the tunnel and told off on the other side. I left around 11 ish. Think the other ones were still there.

Dunno if it was the red one with the mankini front either biggrin Hope it wasn't too bad for whoever was involved...

There was a tuscan of that colour that appeared in the carpark at Petworth. I think it arrived with the Guildford Cerb group. The guy that couldnt get in his boot, had only had it for 3 weeks. Was it him ? Who was he ? Hope it wasnt, or its a bad start to Tuscan ownership.....

This must've been fairly late on as I left after 11.30 and don't think it had happened by then. The main problem (and mine too) was that TVR + Tunnel = boot it!

The marshal at the end of the tunnel was signalling people to slow down at the exit which is only fair enough. It's one thing booting it in the tunnel but another coming out of the circuit where there were loads of people around.

Hope the Tuscan is ok!

Its a shame that no Goodwood stewards etc are PH'ers.

One of the guys on the South Coast Forum mentioned that the car was more a baby blue colour if that helps with identification?

Why the hunt to find out who the owner is?

I imagine they feel crap enough at damaging their P&J without an internet hunt to track them down...

Internet hunt to track them down?

Thats awfully 'gestapo' like.

nono

First of all to see if the rumour was true and if so to commiserate with them.
