Yes, going up the hill, which in my opinion was better, just a shame the cricket pitch wont be as good as last year (or the year before)

They've been adding new characters to the wacky racers line up each year since they first appeared. The little guys (I don't know whether calling them midgets or dwarfs is the right thing these days) they used for the Anthill mob last year cracked me up.

Two words : Penelope Pitstop cloud9

That said, IMO the cricket pitch displays have got worse year over year and this will be my 8th. The sand displays a few years back were not to my taste (especially afer the rain), and the "Cacklefest" just didn't float my boat. The Wacky Racers are a good laugh and entertaining for the parents and kids - so putting them on the cricket pitch near the biggest picnic area and the Junior FoS bit is a reasonably sensible thing to have done.

Wonder if this is an FoS reaction to something else that was planned not going ahead (ie XYZ pulled out so what can we put there to cover the gap...)

You rang!!!?

I spoke to her a few years back (when I say "spoke", it was more running after her and telling her she was my idol... laugh ) and have since got my own Penelope Pitstop costume, which has been worn whilst driving around Europe! I have to say, her pink race overalls and black goggles is not particularly authentic, so if she drops out at the last minute, I am available with a much more accurate costume wink

(Disclaimer: She is a lovely lady though, and more cloud9 than myself!)

Has anyone seen the viral on goodwood's website? It's under fos and then preview 2009, quite funny, worth a look.

Sadly not. Too much on, not sure I'll make the revival either. Aiming to do the Spa six hour race and a few other bits & pieces (hoping to do F1 at Spa again, but the OH reckons whenever I go to a race I jinx Jenson!!)
