Wow, what a day. It has re-ignighted my love of the event even though it has become a Monster.

I have so many Goodwood Moments already...

I met Bruno Senna, who was friendly and said he does not know if he will be in F1 next year.

I met all my Audi Rally Team heros inc Mikkola, Blomqvist, Rohrl and Arni Hertz (Mikkola's co-driver). Also Alistair McRae and his good looking 4x4 racer and a McRae Buggy.

This was quite impressive...

Brawn's can't run due to some silly F1 rules.

McRae's racing Jeep thing.. (V nice!).

Ermmm, the blue one is the new cab...

I will add more.

I just got back, what can I say, Bl**dy marvelous as usual. I lost count of the number of first timers uttering their astonishment of what they were seeing & how close they could get to it. I only left early as I have to collect the children, but when they get older....

Watching the Cayennes power sliding around a field suddenly provided an idea of what the point of them might be!

F1 cars were literally awesome, as were the classic Le Mans cars and sports racers. Modern diesel Le Mans cars sounded like road cars. Supercars were good, though I wish all had been given as much stick as some. Focus RS was incongruous (but sounded fabulous - was that standard?) but less incongruous than the bleeding token electric cars - who cares?

I will posting lots of lovely pictures later but can I just say?

BEST. GOODWOOD. FOR. AGES!! bounce

Also hopefully nobody here was involved in the Peugeot 205 that ended up on its roof on the way in. Just by the racecourse, about 07.00. Also did anyone else get one of the free Audi Le Mans books? Bloke who was pulling them out of the boxes must have thought he was in a cartoon.

Books down, books gone, books down, books gone...... actually I hope they were free. laugh

Anyhow, piccies a little later.

Focus wasn't standard. The driver said he was told the 'Goodwood Exhuast' had been put on smile

I saw a caterham 7 dump its radiator fluid on the entrance to a round about on the way there. I've never seen two blokes jump out of a caterham soo fast!

Was any one else stuck on the A3 after they closed it due to a lorry crash (hope no one was involved). did about 6 miles in 2hours 15 mins!!! Apart from that it was a fabulous day, especially sitting in the Stirling moss SLR, hope it was actually allowed biggrin

I had a fantastic day today as always. I got to talk to Bruno Lani, and Jochen Mass. They brought Jochen into the Kinrara so we got to talk to him properly. I had a word with Peter Fonda as well. he's a nutter. I loved that huge truck thing driven by Jesse James, he really has got a screw loose, in a good way. Looking forward to the next 2 days, what a monster of an event.

Just started sifting through the photos I took, below is the best so far. I tried the rally stage for the first time this year. Seeing a Stratos were it belongs made my day. Here's a mini in action, another fav of mine.
