Nice images Tim - were you in the grandstand or the press photographers stand? You got a good angle!
Hi there,

I had press accreditation for the weekend although to be honest it was a bit of a let down, there were something like 340 togs accredited and only 50 tabards. The tabards were given to people like Autosport, Autocar etc and us poor minions were left with no tabard and a little badge. The badge allowed you access to three special 'press photographers' areas (although to be honest two of these were useless) so I spent most of the day huddled with around 20 other togs on a scaffolding platform about 10 foot in the air just by Molecombe corner.

Regards

Tim

I'm loving this thread. As has already been said it brings it all back and is like being back there. It was my first year this year and I had no idea quite how good it would be. Can't wait to go back next year, but I think I will have to make it down for at least two days. Keep the pics coming they're all ace!

Derek Bell used to (probably still does) live in Chichester. He used to walk to Goodwood in the 1950s to watch race meeting before he started racing himself.

Hope the Bellm GT40 ends up in good hands.

The big hardbck Audi R8 book was free, you had to be quick on the Friday. They were handing them out right next to the Leyton House F1 car in the contemporary F1 paddock. They were dissapearing as quick as the girls could get them out of the boxes. Luckily for me I got one.

I got one and so did my mate, around about 8am, but they were too big to put in the rucksack I had....so we put them back!

Lord March' Ford V6 Ratrod

Its a V8. The position of the middle cylinders of each bank means that the exhaust posts come out of the head close to each other meaning the headers can be placed really close or in some cases the 2 pipes can be replaced by a single pipe for both cylinders.

or you were being sarcastic

Some early Small block heads had the siamese centre ports like that, thermostat/inlet manifold looks right for a Sbc too..

Some more photos here if you lot haven't had enough yet. All from the Friday, really need a least another day to cover everything. Still an excellent event though. My first attempt at doing rally pics.
