Right chaps, my humble efforts.

This was supposed to be the first 200mph car and I remember Noel Edmonds saying he was first on the waiting list

Aston Martin Bulldog

Audi Croc nose

Auto Union nose

Beatles Mini

Beatrice F1

Benetton F1

Brawn F1

Ferrari Breadvan

LIFE F1 !!!!

The worst F1 car evah built.

Metro 6R4

Shadow F1

SLR

Rumoured to be Big Ron's

Williams engine

Williams March

My two highlights were that nutter in Offroad semi-detached cottage on wheels. Totally hatstand!silly And I have to say the Life. I thought it had long gone to the crusher as it was the worst F1 car ever built. And yet here it was. And it was awful!!

Thanks for the praise! thumbup

I don't actually know if the LIFE ran. I know it didn't in the morning (or at least I didn't see it). On our way out to miss the traffic we saw it had a helmet and racesuit on the sidepod, so I'm guessing it is a runner.

I'm also guessing its still got the Juddie in it.

Just got back.

Stap me.

Take care peeps, those of you who are going over the weekend. It's heady stuff. I was going dizzy. There must be more drop-dead absolutely stone fking miracle automotive pornography in one place than can ever have been in any one place anywhere ever.

There are more pre and post-war Mercs and pre-war Auto Unions and Porsche 917s and stonking Audis and F1 cars and god knows what than you can shake a stick at. It's bloody brilliant. The drive there is brilliant, the car parks are brilliant and the show is brilliant and we had great weather too.

Just a shame the top F1 starts weren't there today, but in all honesty i don't think i could have taken any more anyway. Phew, what a day.

Look at those two large braided hoses either side of the cockpit of this grand prix Merc... they link the centre fuel tank, that bulbous looking thing with the steering column running through, with the large fuel tank in the tail of the car.

Just lovely...

Outstanding display (as it is every year)

900 BHP and it handles like a blamange

If in doubt - stick it on as a body kit.

If in doubt - make it wider.

They can turn right.

Still going strong - nice burn out at the start...

There's lovely.

Going for it..

Not as ugly looking as the road car.

All it needs is a rotating front roller and it could cut the grass..

More Max Power body kits...

Just divine.

As the old dear next to me said - they just don't make them like this anymore.

Like something out of the program UFO.

Having a poke about the terribly coloured SLR.

Minimalistic.

It's blue and it's an opentop.

It's a stealth Porsche.

Peter Fonda rode it up the hill in the afternoon.

One of my cars of the show.

The enviroMentalists were there.

The Nemesi doing what they do best.

What - yes another SLR...

Lovely lines.

The R stands for Racey....

Another Mentalist.. I can only hear the Pink Panther theme when I see this.

Proper racing attire.

Holding on makes it faster.

Into the rally stage.

Was certainly going for it.

But he was going faster.

Always a crowd pleaser.

Nowhere near enough smoke to please the crowd..

Scarying the bejesus out of my nephew.

Showing that you can go over the jumps with your hands off the wheel.

Drool Drool

Old School.

New school

A cracking day out....

Great day, barring the A3 delays on teh way home, and that there are so many people there these day..

However

There were 12, yes 12 Porsche 917s present

certainly the most ever at an English event I believe, not sure about the US

Including the Rossi road legal car

What an amazing day out, this was mine (and my Dads) first ever Goodwood and now I can see what all the fuss is about. Better than any other motorsport event I have ever attended, everything is just so much more accessible. I think this is now going to have to be a regular event for me.

The only downsides were the sunburn (barrels of aftersun required !) and the traffic jam on the A3 afterwards.
