on 9th September is in my diary and the literature I have from GRRC but can't find it anywhere on the Goodwood internet site. Anyone any idea what it is - assume its at the circuit?

Try 9th August instead - tip up to the house late am and it'll be well underway.

It's at the house, you have to have pre arranged to display your car. It's free to get in and there are usualy other things happening to keep littleuns amused etc.

If you're a GRRC member then you should be able to get the diary here http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/grrc/Diary....

It's a pretty low-key event, there's a nice display of member's cars, the house is open and there's a marquee with lunch available and a few kids amusements plus of course the car park will have a nice display of member's cars. It's certainly not a "breakfast club" type event more a discrete picnic with some nice cars wink

On top of the pre-selected cars around the house, they now run 2 tier parking a bit like the brekky club. If you car is (deemed) sporty/unusual/special you will be directed to the parking past the house and on the hard standing that is the F1 paddock at the FOS (least it was last year). This in itself is always worth a stroll around during the day. Lovely little event, especially for me this year as I am getting to lunch in the ballroom woohoo

Rich, it is indeed yes (not really sure if we are meant to keep it under wraps so the cars on the day are a surprise, but I am rather chuffed.... mainly because of the lunch biggrin)

That means 2 years in a row Jeremy!!!!!! What is your weapon of choice this year, as the Audi is "so last year" am I to assume it's pink?

It was mentioned in the last couple of newsletters but I suppose the question is are you actually getting any mailings. James will be able to answer more accurately but as I understand it the club are trying to move from paper mailings to e-mailings instead, it is possible that you have slipped between the two and are getting neither...I remember I had to sign up to say I wanted the newsletters emailed but I assumed that had I not done so I would have remained on a paper system .

Maybe call the office on Monday to check your status, in the meantime a manual way is to keep an eye on the archive of newsletters here:

http://www.goodwood.co.uk/site/content/grrc/Member...
(you'll need to login to see it).

Same here so I called the office last week. Turns out I switched from paper to emails of the newsletters though have no recollection of doing so.

Then having been switched, the flow of ALL newsletters stopped so I too never received details of this which I wanted to apply for to enter my car. Of course, by the time I phoned entries were closed (week earlier) and selections presumably made. frown
