Annual Vehicle Display

Just to clarify, you do not "enter" your car for this rather cars are selected by James and his team. In your annual GRRC member's pack you will have received a cream coloured A4 form on which to submit details of your car, once you've done this you don't have to do it again unless you add to your stable. Hope that helps.
My other bit of advice is to go to the GRRC web site and ensure you are registered on the "member's section" where you can make selections on what e-mailings and newsletters you wish to receive, e.g. i am also interested in flying so I have ticked the box for the Aero Club newsletters. Rich...

I'm assuming it's the low-key annual event.
These are photos from last year:
GRRC Day - 10th Aug 2008
(My site is under maintenance so the gallery may do down at times.)

Sorry Rich, People do need to enter, as per the mailing No. 5. The Car register forms are not considered as entries for this event. My other bit of advice is to go to the GRRC web site and ensure you are registered on the "member's section" where you can make selections on what e-mailings and newsletters you wish to receive, e.g. i am also interested in flying so I have ticked the box for the Aero Club newsletters. Cheers,
James
Dear All, Please note that the event does not open until 12.00 (midday). It will help us a great deal if you could try not to arrive before then as we have a wedding on Saturday night at Goodwood House and can't start setting up until Sunday morning (including erecting the marquee!)
Cheers,
J

Try 9th August instead - tip up to the house late am and it'll be well underway.
We were selected last year and were chuffed to bits - thank you to James and his team. Seeing we are now in Wales (just moved) we won't be there this year Hopefully next though.
It really is a lovely day, devoid of the usual masses and associated hassle.
We hope all that attend have a great day.

Well, James has now corrected your mis-understanding about 'entering' a vehicle for consideration to be displayed at the Annual Vehicla Display. My other bit of advice is to go to the GRRC web site and ensure you are registered on the "member's section" where you can make selections on what e-mailings and newsletters you wish to receive, e.g. i am also interested in flying so I have ticked the box for the Aero Club newsletters. But concerning your second piece of advice, whilst I have no wish to refute everything you say for the sake of it, again in this regard you are mistaken. My profie was, and still is, properly set. The options to which you refer are selected acordingly. Under the options dealing with communications, I had ticked the "Post" option (as curiously the only other poption was "Telephone"!) No, I'm not mistaken, it actulally says:
To choose your selction of e-newsletters you need to select your choices from the list below
Post
Telephone
Until March (mailing No. 3) I received BOTH emails and printed newsletters by post. Then nothing by either method until July when I realised the date for the AVD was approaching and this prompted my telephone call to Allison who was extremely helpful. Within hours, the July newsletter, mailing No. 7, arrived by email.
Both this relevantly unimportant issue (I can always submit my car for consideration NEXT year!) and another far more irritating matter recently, leave the impression that because the Goodwood organisation comprises a web of interconnected activities, most of which are carried out with a very high degree of professionalism, it only takes one or two weak or inefficient links for disappointment and annoyance to ensue.
