No piccies yet, come on folks, don't tell me you haven't had a full dress rehearsal yet.

I heard his Lordshipcool on the radio today talking about celebrating 50 years of the mini, and not just the car!
Now those are the sort of piccies I'd like to see. biggrin

Didn't take a photo of the dress rehearsal, but I need to know if it's bad form to show stocking tops below the skirt hem? - one of my outfits is rather short! eek I know that stockings are more in keeping with the era but I'm afraid it looks too tarty - plus the fact vintage stockings seem to ladder incredibly easily.

The mini skirt saw the death of stockings, what made the mini really acceptable was the introduction of pantyhose now known as tights.

But tights (as we know them) only really became popular from the mid sixties and short dresses/skirts had been around since the late fifties so technically I should wear seamed stockings with a mini dress of that era. However tights will be a lot more comfortable and I might not get invited into the paddock if I look like a tart. Besides if the ground is wet I'll be in my kinky boots rather than stilettos anyway, and I can always wear the stockings with my fifties outfit.

Well ladies, I'm wearing seamed stockings to go with the whole 1950's look. Although I will be wearing a longish dress. Not sure if the dress will look good if you show tops of stockings, people might get the wrong idea. Don't mind helping you out if you have a picture!
If you want to send me a private message.
So looking forward to the day!!

All my dresses from the 1950s sit just above the knee, it's only my skirts from the mid sixties that sit somewhere on the thigh.

Superb day at Revival again, more people than ever making an effort with their period clothing. Here's one of my good lady (putting sodding finger prints on my
car).
