Did anyone see Mr Lowdrag of this parish with his lovely long tailed C-type Jag in front of the Gulf garage? When I spoke to him he was chuffed to bits as St Stirling had just run three laps in the car and loved it.

Well ladies, I'm wearing seamed stockings to go with the whole 1950's look. Although I will be wearing a longish dress. Not sure if the dress will look good if you show tops of stockings, people might get the wrong idea. Don't mind helping you out if you have a picture!
If you want to send me a private message.
So looking forward to the day!!
Well the decision was made for me as I managed to ladder every one of my seamed stockings on Friday when getting dressed in my 1950's dress. irked I had to resort to modern replacements that day and tights for the remaining weekend. It was probably just as well though as it was so much easier walking around in boots than sling backs on the Saturday.

My GF and I, she is the one in Red!

She managed to spill hot chocolate down her dress after 20 mins of being there!

Luckily i sprang into action and got most of it off (otherwise there would have being big tears!)

Were you in the Salvadori pavilion?

If not there was another lady there with a very similar dress.

Here's the Mrs and I on Saturday, and us with friends lurking by the best aircraft in the Spirit of Aviation area (IMHO, of course!)

Just had a look to see if I recognise any faces but I don't! Did anyone happen to eat off the Mexican stall at Levant corner? I was working on there. Mentioned in a different thread that I was meant to be working on an old Citroen coffee van but plans changed.

Impressive (and eclectic) fantasty garage you have there! Thoroughly approve. Some friends came and visited you for food I think when they walked a lap during the TT, but I didn't make it out that far - too busy chatting and checking out cars! (Oh and Exeter is wonderful...!)

HAF - Congratulations! What a great location for a proposal too, means you have an excuse to go back every year! I like your thinking smile

I was relatively restrained on the dress code, simply opted for chinos, oxford, tweed jacket with neck tie and panama. There were some seriously impressive outfits on display, some of the charity girls that where rattling tins down behind the Super Shell Building on Sunday had really gone all out as well and looked great.

Car of the show for me - have tried to find its history and seem to remember an Octane article on this specific car some time ago but cannot find it for the life of me.

On a totally unrelated topic, did anyone get any pictures on the Saturday of a gentlemen in the Paddock dressed from head to toe in very colourful and unusual tweed? It was a three piece fitted worsted tweed suit in a superb green/purple/blue hue and I cannot remember what his company was called now (I asked and have since forgotten!). Lots of folk were taking pics of him so I thought I would take a punt and ask!

This is the British Racing Partnership GTO, it was ordered as part of Moss's deal with Ferrari to drive works cars in British team colours. However after his 1962 accident he was unable to drive in 1963 events and I think this was driven by Innes Ireland amongst others.

Some stuff here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Racing_Partne...

PS IMHO the GTO is awfully overated: http://thecarlistblog.blogspot.com/2009/09/unresol...
