Whose decision was it to interview that idiot Mandleson? I for one would have been much happier not knowing that he was at the event.

I think "celebrity" is the kindest description for him I,ve ever heard. What do we have to celebrate?

How dull was Buzz Aldrin over the PA? I honestly felt sorry for him. He must be bored stless from 40 years of touring on the back of his space trips. People must expect him to mention 'space' in every single sentence.
Can't blame Armstrong for becoming reclusive.

Why sorry? Buzz has made a living from making use of his Apollo fame and only goes to where he gets paid and can further his vision for space.

Armstrong is NOT reclusive - just very selective in the way he handles his fame - which is a very different thing.

I didn't mean to sound like I was looking down on him. He just didn't sound like he had any real interest in the event. On the other hand, maybe he's perfectly happy to spend the whole time talking about the past and milk it for money.

Apparently he was hoping to get a drive, but wasn't allowed out for fear that he'd be spinning all the time.

Boom boom.

AT attends in a 1920s BRG Bentley with large hamper in the GRRC enclosure
Saw him last year on Friday and this year on Sunday. Clearly a fan.

Alan lives at the top of the lane from us. Often see him around the village and in Alton. He's a really nice chap by all accounts. Drives a XKR on the road and also has the Bentley, not sure if their is anything else lurking in the Titchmarsh stable!

We were most surprised to see this wide boy , we also found Chris Rea and Tony Jardine , no surprises with those two as they are well known petrolheads but we didn't expect Rodney !

I've seen Nicholas Lydnhurst at the flying club when I was down sprinting at Goodwood, so he's definitely a fan of the place.

We saw him arrive this year in his Bentley. Sent a picture of him to my mum and she has suddenly paid an interest in attending next year...!

Yes it's Alan Ford otherwise known as Brick top from snatch. he was also in Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels. For the un initiated they were both very funny Guy Ritchie gangster films.
