Most of the paddock area and some of the grid was populated with modified Nissan/Toyota/Subarus etc
No doubt the chav/bling crowd were out in force...... no Goodwood, NOT a good idea this one. Keep to the original spirit of the Breakfast Club please.J
I thought today's theme was a great idea, more lighthearted than some of the other events, and with a sense of fun. So what if there were some 'chavs' - it goes with the territory and added to the flavour in my opinion. I saw some wonderfully modded vintage vehicles too - things I would never normally get to see.
The turnout was pretty impressive - if the weather had been good the place would have been heaving!

The people there were fine and very enthusiastic about their cars, and I wouldn't have defined them as "chavs" either. From earlier posts I was expecting more older hotrod type cars (which there may have been if I'd stayed longer), rather then these which don't interest me that much. Horses of courses, and all that.
It was miserable weather but I got a few pics:
Golf Country - LHD only for the Euro market, Synchro 4wd, raised ride height etc, very rare over here - I like it.
Clio V6s:
This brave lunatic should probably win the best effort award - driving rain, standing water everywhere, and no roof, windscreen or even bonnet!
Real shame about the weather, but still some interesting cars there, hope to make the Christmas Cracker on the 6th December.

Car of the meeting for me was this rare Henry J - normally a drag Gasser but looking good in my opinion as a pro street racer:
and how bad was the weather - well it was bad enough to throw big bits of tree around, as I found out to my cost, so a lot of respect to any who braved the journey, no matter what they drove

Nice to meet you and help you into your space PG The turnout was pretty impressive - if the weather had been good the place would have been heaving!
The weather was a disaster of course but was impressed with the turn out shame the marshals did not let me other Volvo lovers in....

Hi Russ,
Good to meet you - and nice to be parked next to the yellow Volvo, it looks great! And thank you for the reversing help, those little sheds are narrower than I remembered. I should have stayed under cover, but I walked around all the cars, and got soaked to the skin! Hope your journey home was OK, unlike the poor guy above, with the branch ...

Sorry to say the photo is only too real - happened just outside of Fernhurst on the A286 on the way home - and yes by God I 'jumped', as did the passangers. Still anything you can walk away from is a good one! Shame about the Cossie Granada, I've only had it two weeks. Still looking on the bright side, if I can't repair it economically I've got a great donor car for a new project!Shame about the weather , I would have come down if the theme had been a bit more "hot roddy" we had similar weather at Aldershot meeting earlier this year but still got cars like this -
lets face it you can go to any high street car park on a Saturday night and see the Lax Power Saxos and Scoobys no offence intended but they are just not my cup of tea.

Yeah, saw Billy F Gibbons himself taking photos from the back of a Roller with a compact camera. Shame he didn't come a bit earlier as quite a lot of metal had disappeared by then.
I took a few photos, although lighting conditions were somewhat challenging, to say the least. They're all up here:

The Henry J was lovely, and I rather liked this Mercury Commuter:
Rather liked this Ford F-100, too:
And this (think it's a Ford 2 Door Sedan):
High res versions of these and a heap of others on the flickr link above.
