Some of the the roadie rules are BS - people take things far too seriously! cycling is about fun whether road, MTB, BMX or Boris. Many roadies are hooligans and give cyclists a bad name.

People taking sportives too seriously - I don't agree with the whole must be silent at all times it's supposed to be fun FFS - your not in the Pro's!!

General cyclists flouting the road laws tainting us all.

People with stupidly expensive bikes mainly for the bling factor who don't know how to ride them, are completely unfit and have them simply to show off (very prevalent in the car world too of course). Good knows how many Pinarello Dogma 6.1's or Cervelho's I passed going up the mountains on the Etape this year

Idiotic descending without talent - This was seriously apparent on the aforementioned EdT.

I wear one when mountain biking as much to avoid being clobbered by branches in the tight stuff!
