Not often you get over a page of KOM's in one ride. That is the fastest anyone has ever gone round Richmond Park and around 20 secs behind David Millar when he did a hot lap with car to keep him safe (also before they added speedbumps).
I thought the speed limit was 20 mph round there hehe

Seriously, impressive work. Well done! clap

Ridiculous power. I was pleased to get up to 28th on the segment briefly with a new power pb and 15:35. Under 14mins is just mental. What watts do you think you'd do on the road bike Rob? 420w?

@ Tom - Something like that I think, though oddly although the TT position does make breathing a bit more difficult, being able to support your whole upper body on the rests does seem to help when pushing as hard as you can. I must admit, the motivation to do that was quite hard to find, so not sure I'll be trying it on a roadbike any time soon haha! Your time on a roadbike was seriously fast, much faster than I ever managed on mine, no reason you won't be able to push into the top few round there I don't think.

Fastest solo roadbike time I think is from Lawrence in 14.53 - something to aim for!

Epic! Was pretty windy in SW London last night, did that help/hinder in equal measures?

I'm struggling to break 18 minutes but forever being held up by cars. Need to try on a weekday evening after the gates are closed.

east wind is generally useful, probably a bit strong last night as you say to be optimum, and could be warmer and lower pressure. Today looks far better but its wet.

Isn't Richmond Park the most ridden strava segment in the world? That's really something to be pleased with!

Wouldn't surprise me, I read somewhere online that the cafe there is the most stopped at place on Strava.

Weird, I've never even been in, or stopped there.

Anyone getting a server/host error when using 3G/4G on iPhone or Android when trying to refresh their feed or upload a ride? I've had it for the last couple of days.

Works fine over wifi strangely.

At the moment the iPhone app is randomly adding large amounts of extra miles to the the start of a ride, which is annoying but nothing using the garmin can't fix.

A random chap near Portland, Maine, USA gave me kudos on today's ride. So I had a look at some of his rides, and this Strava KOM-chaser quote made me giggle...

So close....should've blown all the stop signs at maximum overdrive like a proper Stravasshole and I totally would have had it this time. I knew I was in trouble when I kept not vomiting despite my best efforts.

Went out for my 'Sunday' ride this morning, cut it short, felt like cycling through treacle! frown

Ended up spending the ride home diagnosing a miss aligned cleat which has been causing a niggly left knee ache and a touch of lower back stiffness. I noticed today that my left leg/knee was cocked out slightly, watching my action and trying my foot in a few positions lead me to conclude that I needed to adjust the cleat position. Got home, spun my shoes over and yep, the left cleat was just about dead strait on the sole where my right cleat turned my toe in by about a mm... made the adjustment, took it down the road, instant improvement! Can't believe how much difference such a small adjustment has made! Certainly starting to appreciate the value of a good bike fit! 465kms in and I think I've got the SL5 dialled in fully now?! smile

Did anyone else receive a lost KOM notification last night, only for it to be one lost a long time ago?

I thought I'd lost yet another to Dizzee, but it turned out to be one from last year.

Not so much a lost KOM as lots of lost PRs.

Digging into the detail of some PRs I've "earned" lately, looking back at previous results to see how significant my improvement has been, and I've discovered that the time Strava is posting to the leaderboards is my fourth/fifth/sixth fastest recorded effort.

I've checked the ride status and it's not because the previous rides were set to 'private' or anything like that. I've tried refreshing the results, but it makes no difference. It's not of any vital importance, in the grand scheme of things, but mildly annoying if I'm honest.

I'm not 'training' for anything, and don't really analyze my data too closely, but I imagine it'd be a greater irritation to someone using the data to inform their training regime?

Far more irritating for me has been the switch away from GoogleMaps, and the loss of the great satellite imagery and the StreetView functionality that came with it. I often used that to identify junctions and landmarks on a route as part of my 'electronic recce' of brand new routes in unfamiliar areas. frown

The streetview loss is a pita, as I could go back and view ride segments on long rides, from how they looked

Anyone help with this:

On my iphone app, I rode home last night, got an average of 20.6mph when I pause it "live". I then finish the ride, name it, look at the average and it is now 20.1

Same all the time, rode in this morning, live window showed av of 18.4, finish ride, it is then recorded as 18.1

Never used to do it, just interested why?

How Strava mangles data after upload is a mystery.. I see the average speed change and when uploading from my GPS I've seen the ave HR change too.
