This is the sort of thing I’ve been getting.

Kinley here, has only run 1.1k this week in 42 mins. Although slow, after looking at the picture of her running attire, I can perhaps see where she’s going wrong?

She might not be much of a runner but she's great at riding

I've had similar this morning.

Checking all my Strava security and everything is as it should be. I'll check my Zwift security setting too.

ETA. I can't seem to find anywhere to see or alter any privacy setting in My Zwift.

I had one the other day, asked a friend to check if they could see her and they could. Then Strava went down for about 20 mins, came back up and the kudos from her had gone.

Excuse my naivety, but what is the aim of these bots/women. Data? security details? money?

a good time? (biglaugh)

I can’t speak for others but mine are genuine.

TBH I think, there’s just loads of these young women that like middle aged blokes having a mid life crisis.

Then can someone direct these strumpets to my Strava page? Its a sausage-fest on there at the moment, the only pictures I get to see are the ones Yellowjack puts up, and those are usually his new retro CX-bike*

That's my assumption too. I'm pleased that these hot young women are interested in sport and impressed by my middle of the pack Vet performances on the commute. They even include handy Web links.

Ok, so they are probably young enough to be my daughter, but Donald Trump seems to have a normal, happy marriage....

Pervert!

You can stand down for now though, as a) the retro CX bike is broken, and b) my wife dropped my camera the other night, so no pictures at all for a while now.

If you're after some (genuine) lovelies, try Colombian and Brazilian ladies. No nudity, no "interesting" web links, but boy-oh-boy do some of those women look good in Lycra! And a lot of them are damned good at riding bikes too...

wink

...my list of followers just grew by itself. There's a decent proportion of female runners and riders of all colours, shapes and sizes on it, but it's overwhelmingly men in reality. I think the key is to limit yourself to kudos and comments about rides and photos of lovely scenery that they put up. Keep the chat about riding and 'talk' to them rider-to-rider without chucking clumsy compliments around and it's them that does the following, so you don't have to.

I've only ever had one "who the fk are you and why are you giving me kudos" comment, and that was from a British woman who was following me, even though I wasn't following her! I told he where to find the "unfollow" button, but she's still there on my 'followers' list. I've somehow come by 810 followers, and the list of those I follow has grown to 380 despite my initial rule about not letting it get above 100. It sounds excessive, but I don't get out much, and Strava (and PH) are my only "social media" exposure, so it's nice to have a core of people who regularly comment on my rides, and I can comment on theirs. It's almost (I imagine) like having real life friends...

Arrrrgh!

Help! I think I've upset Donald Trump. I got an email last night from Strava telling me "Washington is now following you on Strava"

yikes "What the blazes have I done to warrant the attention of the Federal Government of the USA?", I thought...

...but "phew!" - it turns out it's only some dude named Washington, and not the CIA after all...

Does anyone know what the number represents at the side of your starred segments? Is it the number of your friends that have also starred it?

Are you a 'Premium' member? I'm not, and I can see no numbers alongside my starred segments within activity results. If you post a screenshot, maybe someone will know. As far as I know I only ever get "PR" medals (for best three efforts) and top ten "trophies" to the right of the star in an activity.

If it's on your "Starred Segments" list, under the "Dashboard" drop down menu, and it's a number between 1 and 4 in a red circle under the "Cat." column, then it indicates that it is (or at least Strava thinks it is) a "categorised climb". So it'll be a tough one. 11 pages of starred segments (I seriously need to thin out the ones I've found and ridden) and only two of them are categorised climbs, one '3rd cat' and one '4th cat'.

Ah you're right, just had a look on the strava dashboard and it's the category number for the climb (my starred segments are all climbs). Sa calobra in Majorca is down as a cat 1 and my local one Holme Moss is a cat 3. Cheers!

I’v noticed a couple of times that segments show up on friends rides but not mine, and vice versa. I can see the segment in Segment Explorer but doesn’t show on the ride - anyone else?? Any reasons??

Also sometimes you can miss the start of a segment because of the GPS variation!

Well that's my excuse and it would have been a KOM too!

Clicking Unhide then seems to promote that segment again for a while

Well, turns out our problem was due to the segments starting/finishing close to our homes/office so the privacy settings had blocked them. Unblock, go ride the segment again, and all the previous times are available. Sorted.

I'm down in Trowbridge for a few days and have my bike with me so went out last night. I'm not used to hills full stop so Brassknocker Hill (the middle one) defeated me as it approaches 20%!. That was on 34/28, I tried more than once to find that 32 gear.

Sorry about the bump.

Every time I open the Strava site on my PC I get two suggested friends, follow and request to follow. How do I remove them?
