I've just uploaded my first commute in on my new bike.
Four PR's, and a third place on the full length of CS7 I ride only by virtue of a couple of traffic lights. Overall journey time down from a fastest of 1:09 to 1:06, despite upping the distance from 15.1 miles to 16.2 miles to avoid a bridleway.
I very much like my new bike!

I've added an extra 3mph to a 30 mile local loop.
Since I have for my roadie, I have done a couple of back to back rides (MTB vs Road)
One one ride on the MTB (20 miles) it took me 1 hr and 39 mins. Did the exact same route with a time of 1 hr 18mins on the roadie (It wasn't a race against the clock)
Strava on the other hand has already got me hooked a couple of segment rides I plan to ride and beating the others guys times

Will this work with other garmin gps units other than the edge and forerunner units?
I have a 60csx and fancy giving it a go.
Not directly from the device, no. However, if you can transfer the ride info from your device to your PC in GPX, TCX or FIT file format, then you can do it that way. Bit more of a faff, but would still work.I have a 60csx and fancy giving it a go.

Thanks for that. I'll sign up for it then.

This is good news.
Can't wait to get my roadie.
I went from a decent Boardman Hybrid aswell! It was pretty fast. So a road bike makes a massive difference! Can't wait to get my roadie.
For a better reference, my commute to work from the GF's house used to take 17 minutes on a mountain bike. I can do it in 10 on the roadie!!

Has anyone else taken a look at Kristian House's list of KOMs on there? Must be bloody demoralising to live near him!
Just thinking some more on this, having looked at his latest upload today - what's in it for pro racers to post their rides up on Strava? Isn't that just providing their competitors with some really decent analysis of their abilities?Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
