Fair comment but I would rather read about santas new sled, than about a Porsche push bike, must be something more interesting in the motoring world surely !

'spensive, but it's pretty; nice bit of eye candy for all the numbers don't add up.

I hate when car manufacturers try to do bikes. Even the Colnago Feraris are horrible blinged up versions of the standard Colnagos. The Specialized McLaren Venge is probably the best of them, albeit at an outrageous price. Anyone who is serious about top end biking performance will build their own rather than buying something off the peg. A proper high end race bike should be 14lbs 'ish without sacrificing torsional rigidity.

Try Telling Eddy Merckx you need to have a 14lb race bike to compete on rofl People are far too worried about bike weight rather than body weight.

I really like it but you'd have to be a complete chump to buy it over a similarly specced On-One Dirty Disco or Boardman Hybrid Pro for £4k less!

Compared to arguably the best road bike currently on sale?!

As the article suggests this is an overpriced mess designed for a non exisitent market.

For that sort of price I would at least expect a Rohloff Speedhub.

When a car manufacturer turns out a bicycle you know its going to be pony....cough BMW.

Crank Bros? Bought by people who don't want quality and reliability but 'good looks'.
LOL so true and the Range Rover jobbie wasn't too hot either.

The Colnago Ferarri also springs to mind and although Colnago are a first class bike manufacturer turned out a decent £1000 mountain bike that cost nigh on £3000!

For that money Id expect ferdinand porsche to give me backies personally. I dont care that hes dead if they can take the piss like that than so can I! Other than the 5k asking price I seem to have missed the punchline here.

They got the name wrong.
Surely an RS should be a lightweight race bike
An off roader that you cant use off road is more of a Cayenne GTS

I'm quite content with my Ellsworth Truth with XTR gear. I think Porsche will still sell some of these to a niche market that would want one.

I recall Peugeot making bikes some time ago too, my uncle had one..
Peugeot did use to make bikes, but they made bikes before they started to make the cars. So a bike company making cars... biggrin

OK spec mountain bike with a Porsche badge. Meh.
It's not a MTB. This is more like a Cannondale Bad Boy.

It reminds me of a Bomber, the next stage up from a Grifter, as a lad. For £5k, what a waste of money. This is far better, much more cooler, and you don't have to peddle, it runs on batteries, and it folds up !!!! :-) Yike Bike !!!

Unless Porsche think they are creating a new bike category its a very confused and not very good looking hybrid. Wont be bought by anyone already cycling. Would you buy a car made by Halfords?
