Yes smile

First one is just before the Rollers/Rattlers and 2nd one is before Stegosaurus.

Thought I'd take them in places people might recognise wink

Brilliant there, had a great day yesterday, we got round in 1 hour 20, looks like it needs some time without rain in places.

Aye it's up by the junction of the valley view trail and the granite section of the CGT trail. It's got potential but needs to be more wider to get some decent speed up. The other trail is called Buckle Down. It extends from the follow me trail and joins up with the lower buckle track. I find the You Yangs a bit too man made for my liking although I do love giving creasys a good hammering!
Interesting! That isn't the same map I have (the one you pick up at trailmix). I shall do some more exploring me thinks!

I've only been to the Yo Yangs once - I prefer XC riding since I'm terrible at downhill (well, I'm terrible at both, but more terrible at downhill) and everything at YY is downhill orientated pretty much (and the XC stuff is crap compared to Lyterfield). Still, there is a group of cyclists going there tomorrow so figured I'd join them to see whats what!

Quick tip for the Youies is take everything you think you will need. There are no facilities at all. Since its going to be hot tomorrow id be taking a ton of water. I got caught out a couple of years ago there with heatstroke.

As for the riding there there are plenty of decent mid level trails to occupy you there that are a laugh to ride. But if you're like me I like to take my time and absorb my surroundings.

Ya - I've got five and a bit litres, sandwiches, sweets... Thankfully I've got a lift there so can leave stuff in a car otherwise that would slow me down! It's a Cycling Victoria jobie so they are choosing the routes - hopefully it'll be fine!

There is a tap there btw, but it's at the toilets at the ranger station (branch road entrance)

Good stuff! Ill probably do a decent road ride tomorrow if the weather is not too hot. If you are on face book join up with MTB Melbourne. We do some ace rides and got one coming up at Mt Buller in February. It's tailored more to social rides and a great way to see the country and meet like minded dirt lovers heh

A few from my ride out this morning in North Norfolk.
Started in Felbrigg park at 08:30 when it was still misty (where there is a deer in the picture to the right of the gate post if you look carefully), then headed into Upper Sheringham Park into Kelling park, back west along Sheringham Golf course and then into Cromer along the cliff tops via West Runton and East Runton

Cant believe the piccies above, we spent 4 hrs mud plugging in Berkshire today. Lost the discs on the hubs in deep mud today, was a hard 23 miles today, almost quicker to walk.

I was out at just before 10am this morning and it was also very misty. WIthin 3 miles I was tempted to go back and get my high viz vest lights!

Will be going for a ride on Thursday morning, so I will post up pics of 12.5 Loop then smile

I was surprised how few big puddles there were to be fair after all the rain we've had. The trail builders have done a great job on draining and smoothing the berms after the campsite.

Mind you I haven't been up there for a couple of months and it looked like a couple of patches might have been used as diversions previously and then turned into mud baths!

Johnny - cheers biggrin

Justin S - there was still a fair bit of mud and water in the woods, but i was pleased to have sunshine and clear sky once the mist cleared.

This morning's ride through the hills around Harrogate - 2400ft over three hours in great weather and hardly any wind. Twenty-seven of us out in all split into two groups smile

You want us to go down this perfectly good hill so we can climb up an even longer one? Goodo!

Sunshine, or the apocalypse.

The pics don't even come close to illustrating how wet and muddy today's quick canal blast was... The cogs / brakes started to really slow down after a few miles caked with mud, and it was getting hard to see with mud constantly spraying in my eyes and all over my clothes smile

Still the dog seemed to enjoy it.

Dont miss the days of having a bike without crud catchers in the winter. Still get some mud on you but probably not as much as you did on that ride. I'd get some before you get castrated from muddy clothing in the washing machine as well !!
