Started my training programme for the Carten 100 today with a 40 miler. Was bloody cold, but lovely.

Nipped out to try out the snow studs. Not much snow on the roads here, but they worked really well on the towpath. Made it up a steep slope off the towpath without any drama, bloke at the top told me to be careful as he'd fallen off twice already.
Nice. What tyres are you running there?Accelebrate said:
Just the cheaper Schwalbe Snow Studs, the tread pattern looks quite dated but they seem to work quite well. Not too bad on tarmac either.
I'm sure they'll do the job perfectly well, I'm getting around on low end 100 stud tyres also. Fatbikes exist so that folks with spare cash can clear the trail for us Gassing Station | Pedal Powered | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
