Yes, it's Weetslade Country Park and the site of a former Colliery, hence the drill head sculpture.

New bike park:

very jealous, not been to Afan since summer. Is the new skills area good? Are you local? Cwmcarn has some good riding not far away as well.
This, I need to get back there, was so fun. Brilliant fun.

[quote=Max_Torque]A quick 40k around a beautifully sunny, but somewhat muddy Northamptonshire today:

I was around there this morning for a blast and again tonight in the snow great fun.

Nipped out to try out the snow studs. Not much snow on the roads here, but they worked really well on the towpath. Made it up a steep slope off the towpath without any drama, bloke at the top told me to be careful as he'd fallen off twice already.

Nice. What tyres are you running there?

Just the cheaper Schwalbe Snow Studs, the tread pattern looks quite dated but they seem to work quite well. Not too bad on tarmac either.

I'm sure they'll do the job perfectly well, I'm getting around on low end 100 stud tyres also. Fatbikes exist so that folks with spare cash can clear the trail for us smile
