First ride with my son on the back of my bike:

Owen's first bike ride by Lewis Craik, on Flickr

Just around the block a few times to get him used to it.

Felt the need to pause my ride for this 'loud' view of Leith Hill tower from the bend in the A29 just beyond Ainstie Lane.

A great day in the new forest at the wiggle sportive. I was in my pistonheads jersey but think I was the only one!

I'm rather burned today! Was with some mates who haven't ridden in a while so it was a leisurely pace around the standard route yesterday. Which route did you do?

Rode to Bristol yesterday to go to Bespoked. Should be some pics attached to the Strava.

Was quite simply the best day on the bike I've ever had. Frosty start followed by blazing sunshine. More of that please!

I decided to explore the canals and river paths of Birmingham, from Moseley in the South to Sutton Park (And back). Ended up doing about 42km in the sun on my MTB, very pleasant and very flat!

I then spent over an hour giving it a good wash, it needed it after the last couple of weekends.

Thought I'd take the road bike out for a quick blast on Saturday, first a quick homage to pay respects to those who never returned;

Next a familiar spot for some local PHers, though this time pedals rather than engine;

That underpass again!!

As your localish, you may want to swing past Tempsford Airfield (was called Gibraltar Farm before D Day) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAF_Tempsford

I'm a touch red too......... ! Epic. My standard route mate pulled out last week and as i had already signed up to the epic, it was only right to do it :-) Cracking day, amazing weather...... 4 mins off the gold time, which annoyingly i probably spent gassing and waiting for the loo at the water stop ! Still....... there's always September...... :-)

Yeah my moving time was nearly 30mins into Gold time for standard but due to waiting around for them finished an hour off.. I wish I'd just done the epic loops and met them at the end!

Still a good blast though, and better to do it with slow mates than not at all ! Roads were busy though...... Lot's of sunny Sunday traffic, but didn't see any road rage at all this year.........

Steady 40 miler on Saturday:

'E's still a great baker...

...and then a longer one on Sunday. Scorchio, so tan lines now firmly established.
