Cake is always good.

A view of a hedge between Birmingham and Redditch, on a leisurely 40k spin because the morning was sunnier than expected.

One from Sunday. A forbidding passage on the way home. At this point, I'd been enjoying a beer festival for a few hours. Same time last year, I fell off. Twice.

Went the very long way home tonight from West Chiltington to outskirts of Ashington via Amberley the top of the downs to Wilton via the long woods on the hill down.

I was having a blast and really enjoying myself until I suddenly felt the need to learn to fly................

Lovely evening

And then bang........

Rear derailleur completely buggered and a call required to the Mrs. for help frown

So I'm guessing I'll be quite sore tomorrow and not riding Thursday evening as planned hehe

Just a gentle cruise down North Yungas Road in Bolivia.
Is this the 'road of death'?

Wanted to do it when I was there but didn't get chance.
Yeah, that's the one. I started a new job there last week as a guide.
Superb!

Any more jobs going?

Took my bike to Southdown this morning and within 2 hours it's fixed clap

Phil took the derailleur apart and I'd bent something which needed changing and £12 later it's back on the road.

Thanks Southdown and I'm off again tomorrow on the Downs (subject to not being washed away!)

This is grabbed from Google Earth, so not strictly from today's ride. But it pissed down all day today so I couldn't stop thinking about my summer holidays in Italy...

The tunnels are pretty psychedelic, looks good!

Back for another after work bounce through Cannock. First attempt at the Qualifier-Oblivion-Singe Noir Black section. Much scarier than the parallel Tom, Dick and Harry Red. I made it through all the features, but it was slow and careful.
