Jesus Christ. If i did that over a month or two, I'd never want to see bike again. Not even on the TV.

Goodwood Breakfast Club this morning. This gorgeous Aston seemed to have a smudge on the roundel, on closer inspection it was actually Stirling Moss' signature!
The ride was spoiled by a bunch of black M3's and 2's who all passed way too close on the hill out of Upwaltham and several scumbags in Bognor deliberately driving badly

Lovely ride around the Vale of Clwyd with my FB cycling buddies, quite hilly, 3k ft climbing in 40 ish miles.

This is at the cafe stop in Rhyl

You can see the disgust on their faces about the rip off prices in the Richmond Park cafe,

Cycled across Ireland with my brother and some of his local cycling club members at the weekend, Mizen to Malin head, 620 km - averaged 27 km/h. It was an easy ride spread over 3 days, with stops every 50km.

Got the road bike out yesterday and did a lap of the island, Randonee with a bit of an extension towards the needles and staying on the undercliff road through St Lawrence now it's reopened to bikes (closed to cars forever it appears) 113km 1770m climbing.

Lucky b****r! Mind you since none of your teeth have fallen out I am guessing they finally found a replacement driver for the council steam roller as last time I visited about 10 years ago the roads obviously had never been rolled flat! Riding a bicycle would have been like riding a road drill lol!!!

Seriously though it is a lovely place to visit, must get over again with a bike now the kids have flown the nest!!

Did manage a ride today but failed on the photo front as my phone sat in an inch of water in my pocket!!! Still it would have been just a photo of rain and puddles, I love riding in bad weather, but then I love riding my single speeder up and down the local hills so am obviously insane!! (The Stroud area isn't called the five valleys for nothing!)

So here is a photo from last week when it was still summer, just a 16 mile jaunt with 1200ft of climbing and minimal use of 'pushing gear'

Island roads have done a good job, the vast majority of the roads on the island have now been completely resurfaced. Not the crap tar and grit but skimmed back and full resurface. Most of the island would put silverstone to shame.

Had a few glasses of Rioja last night. I was halfway round before realising why I was blowing out my arse.
